Now is the time Roserians! We need 2(or 3) representatives for each class; Knight, Champion, Cleric, Mage,  Bourgeois, Artisan, Scout, and Raider. We will need you to represent the community of your chosen class to our Development team for adjustments, changes, and more! You will be providing the collective feedback of your class community, to help make THAT class the best it can be! This includes feedback for both PvP and PvM styles of game play. So what do you need to do to to submit your application in?

Feel free to post your entry in below or send a PM to myself...

In-game Name(IGN)  ::

Class(es) you wish to represent ::

As this is a community service and volunteer position, we (and you) want to have the support of the community behind you!

For those whom may not know you, we invite you to include information along with you candidacy as a representative.

Let us know ::

  1. How long have you been playing? (ever take any breaks?)
  2. What are your focuses on, PvP, PvM or some other aspect of ROSE?
  3. Were you part of any Pegasus test groups?
  4. What are your expectations for the class(es) you wish to represent and how will you help your fellow [class]?
  5. And finally a brief history of experience that you have had with the Class you want to represent.

Remember, we want the community to feel represented, not just your own ideals. :)

We will be using each representative to also go over aspects of game play such as content for PvP and PvM, and even what would be enjoyed in the future for the Item Mall and even Premium Account Benefits.

Champion :: TBA

Knight :: TBA

Scout ::  TBA

Raider :: TBA

Cleric :: TBA

Mage :: TBA

Q: Can I apply for more than one class?
A: Yes. If you feel you will be able to properly represent the community of each class, feel free to apply to each. The community will cast their vote for all candidates once we have them!

Problem I see with this is that some classes have multiple different roles and build options (example: battle or full support cleric). While still the same class, they're fundamentally different in playstyle and build.

Hence multiple representatives.

and I don't see why not xultrax but I recommend only applying for the class you are most comfortable with.

Yes. You can apply for multiple classes, but keep in mind that the community is going to also cast their votes once we have our candidates. The idea is because there is an increasing amount of opinions coming from the community, we're starting to have some difficulties keeping track and getting a good consensus on that feedback. So, having representatives the community feels would be able to do that, gives us a more focal point to refer to when it comes to those discussions.

If you feel you're up for taking on representing the community within multiple classes and their feedback, you are welcome to apply to any you wish.

Hince multiple representatives.

Okay don't edit that one. Muahahaha. :hinthint:

Oh and, multiple representatives for diff builds, etc. Do you have to know they are different before you accept them, just to not make that person represent his class in the same way as another? :o

Ahya, having multiple people represent a class offers both varying class builds and different play styles, not just builds. We're going to cover everything between PvP and PvM, and more. So, this isn't about being able to give just your input on what you want, but ensuring that you're also providing the feedback from the community regarding that class in every aspect. We will put it to you, and trust me, we will get the community to go to you when they want to go over discussions, balance and ideas, for that class.

To anyone thinking about taking multiple classes to represent, be aware that we intend on turning the community on you and that you help us organize that feedback for us, the development team, so we're able to get a better idea on what's high priority in the minds of the community, as well as have a central place we can use to organize ideas and suggestions.

Class:Knight

I originally played 8 years ago then i stopped and just returned i been playing for 2 months strait and im addicted to rose and love it.

I focus mainly on pvm because i love teamwork which is the best thing about rose. Teamwork and communication is very important in this game and it helps people socialize and make new friends.

I been on pegasus once with friends when the new skills came out.

I want to show people that knights aren't just tanks and they can be great in offense too if you can build it the right way. just as clerics arent just healers they can be offensive too and i think every class can be played different depending on the players style. My knight isnt a defence knight like most people make. my knight is perfectly balanced with high def and high ap i sacrificed a little bit of accuracy which doesnt ,matter because i never miss the monsters i fight.My knight is lvl 210 now and since it was lvl 200 its been stronger than most max level champs which are proclaimed to be stronger than knights.i been spending time redoing skills over and over but i finally made my knight perfectly balanced.By figuring this out i hope people will follow my build so they just wont have to be punching bags lol. KNIGHTS FTW!!!!

I wanna know what's your real intention behind all of these? You have the senate thing already even though few of them is not active, but I'm pretty sure they give sufficient information for you already.

Before this thing gets in too deep, I would like to point out that, in order to balance the classes, you don't ask several people to speak up for one specific class of what they want, you are supposed to ask few person to speak up for all classes at once. If you continue this thing, you might get biased opinions because whoever pick whatever classes they represent, they will defend their class more likely, not for the whole thing.

For example, my cleric defense is so low, please nerf the raiders and xbow scout.

Class(es) you wish to represent :: Cleric

 1. How long have you been playing? (ever take any breaks?)

           I started playing just as Evo came out so maybe 2006 and my first character was Bendersmom

2. What are your focuses on, PvP, PvM or some other aspect of ROSE?

          I have been through all of the changes to clerics, even before there was PVP or PVM differences for sure.  But at present I am war build mostly but also have a FS cleric.  I love helping friends or a team and being a part of the group as support.

3. Were you part of any Pegasus test groups?

        Yes, when i could, especially the first major skill update.

4. What are your expectations for the class(es) you wish to represent and how will you help your fellow clerics?

        I think I understand the way FS, war and even battle clerics like to play and what they want out of their characters. But I don't believe in making clerics OP either.  We are a support class, but there are a lot of things we can do or should be able to do other than just be buff slaves.

I am fairly level headed and listen to others.  I always talk to other clerics and try to post things about clerics that are not just my opinion but a combination of ideas, concerns, etc.  The cleric community is a pretty good team and we usually help each other out a lot.  I love that about them all and I think that is why we as a group are so vocal with our desires, changes, etc.  I want to keep to that tradition.

I can't speak for other classes.  I do not know them as well as I do the cleric.  And I am not really bias, I do not think any class should rule.  I think we need to be a community, team and all classes work together.  So my insight into cleric should help some I think.

This one is harsh. Hope the person in question reads it.

But yeah, people can be biased about the classes they main. If anything, Leonis will most probably take this into account and not blatantly listen to everything that is said, but it's still going to be quite a jumbled up clutch of people trying to get their own class buffed.

Well the Senate seems to be mostly dead.  So I am assuming they are looking for a new way to get input on the different classes, since that has been the biggest changes lately.  And I am not sure I agree about getting people who are able to play all classes as the best ones to help.  There are only a few people, at least from what I have seen on Leonis, that can actually play all classes well. Phish is one of them but he has not been playing a lot lately.  So another option is not a bad thing necessarily.  And it might not be for balancing as much as what new things or other things can we do with the classes.  Who knows until it is revealed as to what the group will be for.

And to be honest, we do get to have a lot more input as a community in this game than many other games.  And the Devs have been a lot more forthcoming with what is planned and open to changes.  I say give it a shot, see what is in store and what they expect from the group and get some good people on the list.

Class you wish to represent :: Mage

I've been playing this game since 2006, I've enjoyed the game ever since. I have had a break from about june 2013 until about two months ago. I've also taken small breaks from a few months in between those years. I used to play Mage long ago, from about 2006-2008, after that i started playing other classes. I made the mage I'm playing now in 2013, back then i didn't play a lot on it. I mainly just leveled it.
Two months ago i started playing ROSE again, my mage still had some reinforced gear, an epic staff and good jewelry. I instantly started playing dungeons which i enjoyed a whole lot, getting to meet new people and playing the dungeons for the first time. A couple weeks later i started gearing it with PvP gear, starting to play mage in clan wars, and now mainly in Crystal Defenders. This was also one of my first experiences with Crystal Defenders, i had played it before but never much and never with friends like i do now, i enjoy it a lot. My Mage is now fully geared, statted and skilled for Crystal Defenders, and I'd like to keep it that way.

I have checked Pegasus before the skill patch that changed everything, but only to check what new skills were coming up, I've also checked it for the same reason about a month ago, before the last skill patch. Apart from that I've never played a lot on Pegasus the last year, i did play it in 2012 or 2013 a lot, but it's been a while and I don't remember exactly why it was online, i think for testing rerolls or something but I'm not entirely sure.

I don't really have a lot of expectations for this class, I really like how they are now. I think it's one of the most versatile classes in the game right now, theres a Lot of skill and passive options, every Mage is unique and can create his own build. Theres not a 'best' build in my opinion. All the masteries are great too, my Mage doesn't use any sadly because I'd have to give up AOE's for Crystal Defenders, but i definitly think Wind and Fire masteries are awesome. On Mage right now you have to choose between a Lot of passives, or a lot of skills, which is good. I do wish that Mages would be less dependant of Clerics, they are heavily focussed in Crystal Defenders because of their high damage, a good Mage that stays alive can win a Crystal Defender game for the team. The Mana Shield ofcourse is great, but if you have 3 Raiders and a Knight on you, once your Mana Shield is gone, your health bar will drop faster than a cleric can heal. I think Mages should have a bar that displays the shield of Mana Shield, one like your Mana and HP bar, instead of just the buff icon. That would make it a lot easier to know when you have to use Mana Shield again.

My history on mage isn't that big, I've played it long ago when there were still Clan Wars. Now i mainly focus on Crystal Defenders. My Mage is a heavy utility Mage, i feel like my Mage gives a lot of benefits to other people in Crystal Defenders, having a lot of charm in my build giving debuffs like Magic Defense down, Dodge down and Accuracy down, it also brings a lot of AOE stuns. I also think my mage gives a huge benefit to other allied Mages in CD because it most likely has the highest Charm giving a massive Magic Defense down to make other damage focussed Mages hurt even more.

  1. How long have you been playing? (ever take any breaks?)
    1. To be honest i stopped counting the years, it's just a way too frustrating. Yes i did take a few breaks (longest about 2months) since RL comes first.
  2. What are your focuses on, PvP, PvM or some other aspect of ROSE?
    1. i'm a huge fan of both, since i'm playing my raider again i mainly focuse on CD.
  3. Were you part of any Pegasus test groups?
    1. yes, i joined all of them
  4. What are your expectations for the class(es) you wish to represent and how will you help your fellow [class]?
    1. I want the game to be balanced, i neither want my class to be overpowered nore i want it to be underpowered.
  5. And finally a brief history of experience that you have had with the Class you want to represent.
    1. I played a pvp/war raider when dod was still a thing. After that i mainly switched to pvm and explored other classes, about 1 year before the big skill update i switched back to my raider and focused on CD.

Class(es) you wish to represent : Cleric (FS, War and Battle cleric)

How long have you been playing? (ever take any breaks?)

  • I am playing the game for many, many years. I lost count. Sometimes I took a break to focus on RL. For all those years the cleric was always my main class. I have seen several changes in F2P, P2P and major updates.

What are your focuses on, PvP, PvM or some other aspect of ROSE?

  • I haven't any specific focus, so PvP/PvM/Events/Quests/Testing etc.

Were you part of any Pegasus test groups?

  • I was part of Pegasus test groups for example the changes in armour, skill update and last skill update/mechanics

What are your expectations for the class(es) you wish to represent and how will you help your fellow [class]?

  • I hope I can share my knowledge about clerics and make them work as the support class as they are.

And finally a brief history of experience that you have had with the Class you want to represent.

  • In the past years many changes were made on clerics, but still clerics do work in many ways for PvP and PvM. But in my opinion not as 100% as they should be, mainly PvP. It is good to discuss about experiences and make clerics the support class to help others during PvM and PvP.

Class(es) you wish to represent :: Battle Cleric | Mage

1.)How long have you been playing? (ever take any breaks?)

I think I started late 07 or mid 08 not quite sure and also almost 1 year break.

2.)What are your focuses on, PvP, PvM or some other aspect of ROSE?

I actually enjoy both PvM and PvP but since PvM isn't as fun as it used too, I'm more focused on PVP these past few years.

3.)Were you part of any Pegasus test groups?

Last 2 skill updates.

4.)What are your expectations for the class(es) you wish to represent and how will you help your fellow [class]?

I want to bring back the old days where the classes which I'm currently playing right now (both my main), to be more balanced and for others to not underestimate both classes and actually try to learn and experiment with it. I'm expecting to make them more fun to play with again, while keeping that complicated and non linear design that both of these classes have and just add minor tweaks to what they have now.

5.)And finally a brief history of experience that you have had with the Class you want to represent.

These 2 classes are both my main. Mage being the 1st ever class I played on rose and after years of playing it, I think I understand how mage works, being a heavy damage dealer and having that low defense which makes them a "glass cannon" class. I never tried to look at the negative sides of the class as long as I'm enjoying playing it and not just going by the "OP Class" trend.

As for Battle cleric, I think I played this class more than my mage. I've been through countless battle cleric nerfs (skill updates) over the past few years and "still", I've stick with the class since It's one of my favorites and I enjoy playing it. Although unlike mage, Battle clerics tend to get left out most of the time since people have that theory that clerics should only be a heal/buff slave. But It's what makes this class special (for me) since its quite different from the other classes that others are used to playing.

Class(es) you wish to represent :: Champion

  1. How long have you been playing? (ever take any breaks?)          I have been playing since 2010, with one short break of about a month in there.
  2. What are your focuses on, PvP, PvM or some other aspect of ROSE?   I prefer PvM, but I also enjoy a good PvP game, ie Crystal Defenders, etc.  although I am not so good at PvP. I am also known for my questing, because I do like doing most of the quests in the game.
  3. Were you part of any Pegasus test groups? Yes, I get on Pegasus most times, unless the test is solely for PvP issues.
  4. What are your expectations for the class(es) you wish to represent and how will you help your fellow [class]?                                                                             I would like to see the classes balanced, which they are very close to being right now. For me, a Champion has hi AP, medium Def, should have a stun capability, and should pretty much be able to handle anything that relies on Melee. When I think of the Champion, I picture a character that is very strong in a physical aspect. One that has trained hard in physical disciplines, and also in certain mental disciplines.  I truly believe Champions are very close to where they need to be right now.
  5. And finally a brief history of experience that you have had with the Class you want to represent.         I have been playing a Champion as my main for about 1.5 years now, and I really like it.    She is built to be a dungeon runner, but I also play CD with her, and the other PvP games if they go.

In-game Name(IGN)  :: ACHiiHu, iACHiiHu (Leonis)  xACHiiHu former RiingDiingDong (Draconis)

Classes I wish to represent :: Scout (all styles and trees) and raider (katar only)

How long have I been playing?

I play ROSE since the beta when i was 16 - I have had some breaks in my ROSE history but played constantly ROSE since the beta.

On Leonis I started playing when the server became free to play.

I have played mainly mage and cleric till I rerolled on scout and raider about 2 years ago.

What are my focuses on: PvP, PvM or some other aspect of ROSE?

Since PvP is way more entertaining and competitive for me I mainly focus on PvP - there I am focused on every aspect from clanwars over game arena games to 1on1s.

ROSE in general I see as a game where you have the chance to meet interesting people from all over the world unlike other games where you are usually stuck on regional servers.

Were you part of any Pegasus test groups?

I was never a big fan of testing things on pegasus in past but since I have seen what the "Skill patch" made with my beloved dodge tank scout I decided it might be time to invest more time in future balancing patches on pegasus.

What are my expectations for raider and scout and how will I help my choosen classes?

At the moment I really enjoy playing all of my listed classes from bowscout over crossbow tank/dps hybrid scout to war build raider on the top and at the limit to get the best out of them.
My expectations for those classes are more likly that people understand how to play against them:
A small example - lots of players complain about the huge amount of damage raiders are able to put out on them. What these people don't see is that raiders are very susceptible to high AoE damage like from a berserked Champion or AoE-mage or just the pure single target DPS of gunbourgs/artisans.
So my wish is that people understand the strengthes and especially weaknesses of certain classes and how to react to those like on raider you simply have to avoid standing in a champions AoE as long as his berserk is active...
I help people who play my classes by giving suggestions (from item choices to skill rotaitons or statbuilds) if they ask me nicely and I try to help people understanding the classes they decided to play.

My only wish related to ItemMall or items in general is that the Captain's ROSE eye patch would become obtainable for the majority of all ROSE players since it is at the moment reserved for a small amount of players that benefit from its huge advantage and versatillity.

Classes you wish to represent: Knight / Raider

1)How long have you been playing? (ever take any breaks?)

Started playing august 08, but took a break after not too long due to some issues. Started up again in 09 march and have been playing ever since, although with a six month break in 10.

2)What are your focuses on, PvP, PvM, or some other aspects of ROSE?

I mainly do PvP but I do run a lot of dungeons or farm when CD queue isn't going.

3)Were you part of any pegasus test groups?  I have been on pegasus for nearly all the tests of the past two years, back when they introduced the GA, the large skillpatch in july/august last year, the dodge/accu update, and the latest update with the stacking effects.

4)What are your expectations for the class(es) you wish to represent and how will you help your fellow [class]?

Knight: Right now I like where they are in terms of balance. However, one thing that bothers me is that they are rather linear in terms of available skills. The melee knight not so much, but the crossbow knight has a rather small active tree, of which most of the skills don't even have any good use to them. This makes playing the class rather boring in the long run, since you only spam the same skills over and over. I hope to bring some more interesting things to the knight tree to add versatility while keeping it overall balanced.

Raider: I'm not going to do anything with the katar raider, as it is not a class I play, but I really want to see some more things for the dual raider. While they actually are a lot more useful than they used to be (and they used to be rather worthless throughout the past years), I feel they are still somewhat underappreciated. The skill setup is there, with a lot of available skills, both active and passive, so I like where they are in terms of versatility, but I feel they are still not quite where they should be. I'm not talking about big changes, but they could use some quality-of-life changes to make the class less unrewarding to play.

5)And finally a brief history of experience that you have had with the class you want to represent:

Knight: This is the class I've played for about most part of my time in ROSE. Started off as a sword knight, played it for about 6 months, then I switched to xbow which I stayed as for the last couple of years. Used my knight daily for UW and 1v1 and group wars in TG, and continued to use it when CD was introduced. After the skillpatch of august I played my knight for a bit longer (also was the one who suggested the xbow knight nerfs back when they were considered OP), but haven't used it in the last couple of months because the linearity in playstyle caused me to lose interest. Still play it once in a while, but not as much as before since it gets outright boring to play after some time.

Raider: Been using this class for the past 8 months, as they got a lot more useful than they used to be. Mainly using it for CD but I can also use it to run dungeons. Have also done a lot of 1v1's with this character at the start, but lately I haven't done those so much as mine is mainly built for group combat.

In-game Name(IGN)  : MyBuffs

Class(es) you wish to represent : Cleric

How long have you been playing? (ever take any breaks?) : 4-3 years

What are your focuses on, PvP, PvM or some other aspect of ROSE? - both pvp, pvm, levling

Were you part of any Pegasus test groups?

Yes I did, I have been on Pegasus server and tried out and look on skills/stats.

What are your expectations for the class(es) you wish to represent and how will you help your fellow [class]?

I love the clerics becuse I just love how magic is. But it would be cool to se more magic in surivival. That we use magic instead of armor to be abel to surival. When I look at a cleric/witch they are really easy to kill if you take their wand off/ mute, but when they have a wand or not muted they should be abel to surival with magic. I like the passive: Mute resistance: 50%, becuse its kinda a magic thing, but as a passive. So what I would like to see is more magic.

And finally a brief history of experience that you have had with the Class you want to represent.

I just love to be abel to support people, to be abel to have that power to help. Buff, heal, purify, mute and make bonfires/salamanders. I think cleric is the most powerful class in rose. Think about a world without the class as cleric. Levling, pvp/pvm would be alot slower, without those heals and buffs. I love to be in a game pvp/pvm and heal and buff. My main class in rose is cleric.
