I wanted to remind the developer(s) of some posts I made in the Team Inubashiri thread some time ago.

 

 

Please, please, please, someone from staff promise you will revisit/change the Wanderer Hat "Night Sparrow Cap" after the cycle of gears completes. Please. I would like assurance it definitely will be revamped not a veiled platitude that it "might get reviewed".

 

This project was meant to improve PVM and improve under used stuff. The wander class is arguably the worst 3rd job, and may even fall behind some expanded jobs in terms of how fun or useful they are. This class should have gotten the most love from this project, but I argue it got the worst hat by far.

 

Please listen to me on the following points:

 

The hat demonstrates little to no understanding of the wanderer class from  its developer(s) or any understanding of future content for this game.

 

The hat does the following things, and they are all fairly useless or unnecessary buffs.

 

-50% fixed cast time if voice lessons is maxed;

This effect demonstrates almost no understanding of this class. The key battle skills of wanderer (several of which are underused and would have been well within the scope of this project to spruce up) do not have fixed cast time, or have very little of it. Metallic Sound and Reverberation are both 100% variable and dominion impulse has no cast time, even Swing Dance their best PVM song is 100% variable. Severe rainstorm has a fixed time of 0.5 seconds. All you shave off with the hat is 0.25--- and you can already do that with sacrament. And an upcoming item will remove the cast time of the skill completely easily, also making this feature worthless! This is virtually pointless. All of the songs/choruses cast quick and even already have whips/instruments that reduce their cast time to nothing. This is the biggest feature on the hat and its practically useless to this job class.

 

+25% (+75% with accessory??!?) Severe Rainstorm Damage

This is really problematic. This skill does not need a buff. It is already popular and useful and will be quite powerful with an upcoming update this fall (YES, he is doing 10k+ damage PER HIT OF THE SKILL [120k+ damage]). Do we need to do 200k++???

 

+200 SP at +9

I seriously wonder if you're trolling us now. My 32 INT wanderer (lvl 124) has over 2,050 SP. What good is 200 SP? And needs +9? What? I am absolutely confused who's idea this was. Do they play this game?

 

Additional Note:

Somethign that vexes me to no end is we're told in the team Inubashiri thread to only comment on Preview 3 items. We have had 1 year and 2 months to comment on preview 3. We have had 0 years 0 months 0 weeks 0 days 0 hours 0 minutes 0 seconds to comment on the wanderer item-- only fungineers had input.

 

I am willing to work with other active veteran players on this forum to propose a new set of effects for this hat if you're willing to give us the opportunity!

 

 

Revision proposal for Seal of Night Bird Chorus [0]. Wanderer is the weakest core class in the game by a lot, and the hat is a lot weaker than the sorc hat and others. So the Accessory deserves to go with a bang. raw ATK/MATK increases benefit all 4 leveling builds; Severe Rainstorm, Metallic Sound, Reverberation, and Swing Dance. The old effects of night bird were depressingly unimaginative and underpowered--- basically a rideword hat and a rosevine, which you can already do in game. If they want +25% SR damage and +100 ATK for the ultimate severe rainstorm build, they can sacrifice their rideword SP drain and use some blues. It's fair game. Skills like Reveberation, which are so weak they aren't used by anyone, is what deserves the boost with this project!

 

Seal of Night Bird Chorus [0]

Aspd +1.

Greatly Increases the effectiveness of [Metallic Sound] and [Reverberation].

Reduces damage received from [Fire], [Earth], [Wind] and [Water] element attacks by 5%.

 

**Set Bonus with Night Sparrow Hat [1]**

When attacking, there is a chance to automatically cast [Reverbation] of the level known depending on the refine rate of the hat.

Increase ATK and MATK by 1 for every point of base AGI.

 

Notes:

Metallic Sound +150% damage(same as amplifier), Reverberation +300%(since you can't have 2).

Chance of autocast is 1% for each refine of the hat (about 1/sec at 193 aspd); it only applies to close-range physical attacks.

 

Please make it happen in 2014!
