Topic.

What did I do so far:

- Creating a room using /chat works fine.

- Tried using it in place where there are no NPCs visible, no good.

- Used two different keyboards besides the one I am using, no good as well.

- Creating a room through ALT+C works fine few days ago.

- Thinking this might be a problem when using custom skins besides Scribbling Kid, I used Default Skin, restarted the game, and it did not work.

- All other ALT commands work.

- Remapped it to another button (ALT+N) and it works.

- Tried remapping it back to ALT+C, and it says "Key is not possible to be designated as a single key" :hmm:

- Tried editing it through UserKeys.lua file but I can't understand a single thing there  :heh:

For example, not sure which key is 78, and which key is 18 (possibly ALT) and I'm not sure what to replace for those assuming it will work/

 [6] = { EXE = "Create Chat Room", KEY1 = 78, KEY2 = 18 }

Any ideas why is this happening? :p_swt:

How strange. Perhaps the file is corrupted? Have you tried renaming it to make the client generate a new copy of it?

The numbers assigned to the KEY… variables are decimal Windows virtual key codes. Yes, the code for alt is 18 in decimal. The code for C is 67. (You can use i-Tools to convert numbers between hexadecimal and decimal.)

My guess is that there is some other piece of software running that's grabbing alt+c keystrokes, preventing then making to ro

Presumably something you installed since it last worked.

I "think" the registry (or something inside the OS) got bugged/glitched because I just tried doing ALT+C on my work computer using my home keyboard and it worked. I tested it using "Help and Support" and opening its Table of Contents since the shortcut for it is ALT+C. I did this in my home computer and I am not able to open up the Table of Contents.

Meaning this problem is not specifically RO related.

I can live without ALT+C though, I just bind it on another button rather than reinstalling the OS just to get that ALT+C to work properly.

Thanks guys!
