This is actually an issue for a friend of mine who asked me to see about figuring out a solution, but basically every time she opens the client her patch process starts over from around 2011 and she has to wait for it to redownload all the files since then. Even if it finishes and gets up to date for her to play, the next time she opens it, the client reverts back again as if it doesn't remember being up to date. If anyone else has had similar problems i'd appreciate some feedback, I haven't had this problem so i'm not sure how to address it. Thanks in advance.

Does the problem actually occur every time your friend opens the updater, or just most of the time? If the latter is the case, then see this post. If the former is the case, then I'm afraid I don't have anything to suggest.

She says its every time she opens it. It's like its never been opened before every time. it's not an issue with admin privileges either. I'll read that link and see if it can help her, and i'll post her OS when I find out what she's running. Perhaps that's an issue.

If you have another computer with the RO game folder in it, just copy the folder to the computer that has problems and it will be fixed. I think this is the fastest way without troubleshooting xD

I have this problem too, and it happened to me 3 times for the past 6 months... same problem.  Is this a bug on RO program that causes this?  

 

I redownload, etc, etc, etc, verge to break computer, delete, reinstall, about to give up on RO, then it works again.   .  Can't this program stop re-patching from 2011?  Or Why can't WP have a whole patch on Torrent available for us weekly so we don't have to guess and try to fix the program ourselves?

 

 

For a temporary solution this is what i did:

 

1) i downloaded this file: http://choobs.org/st...atch.inf&n=2328 (patch.inf) <--- if it doesn't say this name rename the file downloaded to patch.inf

2) Replace this file to your RO folder (C:\Program Files\Gravity\Ragnarok Online).

3) Download the 100mb patch (0904_Manual_Patch) <-search this site for link if you don't have it in your computer yet)

4) unzip/unrar to same directory (replace all)

5) Download "2013-09-04 updates.zip" file and do the same as step 3). (http://ge.tt/471FZKr/v/0) Thank you Richard!

6) Run it! It should start the patching process without a problem.  I hope .

 

If this solution helps you i ask WP to simplify my solution including links of the files i have posted. Or better yet, create an executable file where you don't have to follow all these instructions. I really hope WP technical support improves on these type of issues.

 

after you do all this, if you get "failed to download a specific patch, you can download manually from here and insert it into the proper folder:

 

ftp://ropatch2.gravityus.com/patch/
