Hi everyone,

I have a question about leveling at scaraba dungeon. I have some basic leveling equip what shouldn't make it to hard for me to lvl.
But i do get a lot of dmg and only can do ~20k CC dmg without and ~8k with stone skin. For ammo I use iron cannon balls.
Yesterday I saw a gene doing 40k dmg and I dont see how to reach this dmg o.O
 

My level:

146/46

 

My stats:
str: 101 + x
agi: 1 + x
vit: 96 + x
int: 90 + x
Dex: 90 + x
Luk: 47 + x

My equip:
WPH + Alarm | +9 EMH + Cigarette | +9RWH[Carat]
Orleans Gown[PecoPeco] +3 int | Meteo[Loli Ruri]

+4 Bradium Shield [Bigfoot]

Spiritual Ring + Clip[Phen]

Using the iro wiki calc to approximate the damage I dont even come close to 40k dmg with CC.
I need 3-4 hits to kill scaraba (2 without skin + 1-2 with skin) what takes to long. Because of my not very good connection I have position bug very very often what leads to hitlocks and i need to wing.

I dont have much zeny left (did buy a lot of e. Elu for e. hammer so im out of money right now^^)

What can I do to improve performance leveling at scaraba hall 2?

The other person may have been using mjolnir / gods. They're quite common for borrowing from guilds these days.

For gen leveling, cast time is more of a priority than damage for dps over time. Sprint rings, rwc pendants, Crown of Deceit will improve your dps quite a bit. Carding your spell FAW and using that instead of your HBP will also help.

For defense, you can also try an earth armor but it's not absolutely necessary.

Tried to calculate with gods but also did not come close to the damage. But im not sure how accurate the calculater for gods is, never had one^^

I dont have any RWC or COD since it was to expensive for me most the time. Also now i cant afford to buy them^^ FAW is not carded since i wanted to wait till i can afford a deviling card for it.

Earth armor does not help me I think since it is the auto attack damage what is already pretty high (~500). Not an issue for my 55k hp RK to lvl but gene can't stand it since he does not have life leech weapon and only 30k hp...

 

May have to stay in ti when i have such a hard time in scaraba on gene -.-

The iW calc uses the wrong formula for CC. Don't use the iW calc for calcing damage in general - many of the results are wrong.

40k sounds like he's using god items - some combination of megs and sleips probably - or he's using a hurricane fury as his weapon (and possibly gods ontop of that).

So there is no way, I can reach that damage at the moment. Is there another advice you can give me for leveling with the given stats/equip?
Because I kind of fail on it i get frustrated fast and start lvl other chars. Doing this, I never reach 150 on my gene xD

Run ET with some friends with BM on, or do Kiel summoner.

You may find that a level 146 gen is already pretty much the same as a 150 gen functionally and the extra level / skill points won't really make a difference PVM / MVP wise.

Depends on if you have the skills or not:

 

Demonic fire ( 1 for cast time / recast delay) + fire expansion 5 ( the AoE acid bomb one ) needs ~300-350 bombs to go from 135-150..... if you gather big to massive mobs and nuke them at once.  This is in level 2 though, not level 1. 

 

At 146 you should hit 150 by doing this in maybe 2 hours - depending on competition and mob size.

Use Iron Balls and Fire Converters. That should boost your dmg.

I should test it myself but specialized weapon might work better than AS RTE. Try with triple kaho rte. But the again, New World spotlight is almost over so i guess theres no point making it.

I see that you're running on both orlean gawn and phen clip. Try to avoid stacking them Earth orlean gawn alone will work nicely. Also, try to use BSB and shackle combo. it will boost your damage a lot. Frog hat helps with more damage and if you'are good at switching, this might also boost ur damage even further.

Porcellio card for orlean will probably help you a lot as well. Raydric/bigfoot/ and earth proof might negelect not having sandman card. with BS and porcellio card, you will get massive boost. try to use Savage bbq which will boost +20 str as well.(Savage BBQ is about 18k per 5 min. which i consider pretty cheap considerig it gives +20 str.)

All and all, it all boils down to how much hp and defensive mechanism you want to sacrifice to deal more damage. In the end, faster you kill, less healing potion you will consume.

It's basically to protect you from the scarab's earth skill attacks.

I am using a Bigfoot Card on my shield, and i am wearing a Life Link with a Peco Peco card, Would you guys think i would find a smoother grinding experience with Earth Armor instead of 50% regen 10% maxhp - I am an RG with 48k HP

Your armor should be fine, imo. Scarabs don't really spam earth attack skills like their gold counterpart. Just use earthproof if you want to be on the safe side.
