Seriously, that 200 dex/luk boots look soooo promising, and agi boots with aspd enchant looks to be quite some use too.And there are fighting spirit boots, and some others too..

I couldn't find the chance to obtain any of these lovely boots yet, thus i know very little of them.

So i'll sit back and enjoy posts while you let us the ranger community know more about these lovely stuff and new possible builds.

Lets talk!

Yeah, thats what i'm working for.

at +9 refine level, it can grant %17 aspd plus +1 (with enchants)..If you combine it with a +9 backpack, you'll have an additional %10 and a +1 aspd.I think this setting is offering better reduction and dps for aspd rangers than the regular ww set.

What interesting is, the lucky day enchant..heres the description:

Lucky Day: when physically/magically attacking, or being physically/magically attacked, there's a chance to +200 luk for 5 second. Chance to obtain treasure box when killing monsters during activation

By description, it seems auto warg strike and bolts from cd could possibly trigger the lucky day too.at 193 aspd, thats like ...plenty of hits per second..I wonder whats the proc rate...

Idk how this new enchant contribute in a woe/pvm scene but definitely seems promising for mvp rangers

Yeah this boots will be for autowargers, but they will be great, in other topic i read that the chance of activation is like 5%, when hitting with 193 aspd that will proc. A lot.
And im not sure since i dont own a manual warger, but maybe those str boots and enchants can work for them.

WW set has been outmatched by a pair of boots

if its indeed %5, that basically means you'll have +200 luk all the time during an mvp hunt..

lets see what 200 luk means;

Total crit rate of a decent auto-striker ranger should be like 150+ with lucky day buff, even more than that with gloria and foods.Probably enough to hit almost any MVP even if they agi up.

I think rangers could be an alternative to bombers on ET runs/instances..Of course i'm assuming proc rate is indeed %5.

Not sure, but i think crits always hit, so with the lucky day on you'll hitting all the time, great for hitlocking.
Indeed Aspd rangers will be OP

To be fair, the white wing manteau and brooch were never that strong as you could get much stronger alternatives, ig. FAW/HBP and Bakonawa tattoo. So the boots only played a part of it.

I do think the luk boots would be really strong though, 42% increased crit damage on a +12 one is HUGE. For enchant you can opt to go for EA on boots and suits for max autoattack damage.

I'm not sure if the proc rate is the same as in jRO, but based on this person's tests over there proc rate is 0.85%, rounding off to 1%.

Info gathered from the blog post:

1. Testing on 10 strange hydras(1000 hp,plant defense) shows 0.85% proc rate.

2. Activates on skill usage.

3. Activates when getting hit.

4. If it procs while currently in effect, effect is overwritten.

That's the main part of the post I guess. Wonder if it holds true for iRO...

All of this without buffs
we can outdo genes

Highly doubt a ranger could survive ifrit quakes and other mvp aoes like genes, survive, and continue to dish out dmg w/ disturbing the healers to ress nor dish out PK to the tank whose MS is running out ...or solo mvps.... =l

But sure, their dmg would be bumped up quite a bit ^^

I wasn't really being realistic
it could be possible with over upgraded god gears
but if genes had the same we would get blown in the dust.

Suppose you can lock the MVP on his place, his EQ should not affect you?

I run Nid several times with ranger and if he is hit locked, I can see his EQ effect but I don't get any EQ damage.

Nid's EQ is supposedly level 2, which has a 15x15 AoE. Thus locking him at the edge of the screen should prevent damage if you're far enough.

on the other hand, mvps like Ifrit use level 10 EQ, which has a 27x27 AoE and I don't think the edge of the screen is going to help...

It does. If u lock it properly then you won't get hit by ifrits eq.

As for this topic, I think those temporal boots are nice for mvping. It depends on what other gears would you wear with it. For my case, I lose all the Agi enchants that I got from my wwset when I change to wear temporal boots. I get more damage but i lose flee.

imo a ranger can survive pretty well againts mvp becuase come on...a good bow with ASPD card/enchants FAW with correct cards and ASPD enchants armor with elemental card(or elemental armor) AND boots (wherever you want) but with LUK enchant pfff 80 base luk with +20 luk food and this enchants grants you 100% warg strikes :3 that let you accesorys for wherever you want i thing right now in glorious rings that gives you 10% resistance against fire, earth, water and wind 5% aspd etc etc and this is just a quick build that can rape most of the MVP in the game...a for ghost just use some mild wind hat and thats it n_n

a ranger can destroy most of MVPs (i don´t say every one becuase i haven´t do that) BUT you need some specific gears on most of it....in that way genes are still superior becuase of his versatility and far more resistance not to mention movement weight capacity and hp pool xD

but rangers are still more fun to play for me haha but remember to respect all opinions :3

So i got hawkeye enchant on my agi boots..loving it so far..More than half od the time i get the bonus during mvping..

It shines especially with mild wind headgears. With the bonus +200 dex, warg strike damage goes as high as 20k on GH mvps..I'd say proc rate is around %3-4..

I got Hawkeye on my agi boots as well.  I was hoping for Lucky, but this is still a decent buff. I gain about 5-6k dmg to warg strike on normal mobs.  It seems to proc fairly often though so I cannot complain.

I will say that getting ASPD enchant on mine was probably overkill. Next time I'm definitely going sharp.

EDIT:  I tried to switch to White Wing Shoes the moment the +200 dex procced to test arrow storm damage. The buff goes away the moment you remove the boots of time =(
