Peach Cake
Let’s make a peach cake. So, first of all we need to list all the ingredients for the recipe.

Spoiler

In this cake we made in three parts: the cake (“pão-de-ló”, see below), the cream that will be in the middle of the layers and the cake icing + decoration.

First part: the “pão-de-ló”:

“Pão-de-ló” is a common recipe in Brazil to make layered cakes. It’s a soft cake batter.

Ingredients:
    - 4 un. of egg yolk
    - 4 un. of egg white
    - 2 cup of flour
    - 1 and a half cup of sugar
    - 1 tablespoon of chemical baking powder
    - 1 cup of boiling water
    - some food coloring (in this recipe we used light pink)

Steps:

First you’ll need to separate the egg yolk from egg white. From this we made stiff peaks with the egg white on the mixer. It’s like 5 minutes to make this, when the egg white seems like the picture, it’ll be fine. (see the picture with the *)
Put it aside, you’ll need later.
Then, clean your mixer and put the egg yolk on there with the boiling water. Start the mixer and wait until it appears some foam-like patterns that reach the edge of the mixer’s bowl (see the next picture with the *). Then put the sugar in this mixture and keep the mixer on for some more minutes (like 3 or 5). After that, don’t stop the mixer and start to pour the flour bit by bit and keep the mixer on for more 25 minutes.
After 25 minutes, put on the mixture the food coloring (just some drops), the chemical baking powder and the stiff peaks that we made previously and mix with gentle movements from bottom to up. Let some of the stiff peaks show on the batter like on the picture.
Pre-heat you oven for like 15 min before you put the cake there, on medium temperature.
Grease your cake pan with oil (you can do with butter too) and put some flour after the oil/butter. Spread the flour on the cake pan evenly.

Spoiler

Put the cake dough in the oven and bake the cake for 10 minutes on high temperature. After that time, you can change the temperature to medium. Wait until the cake turn warm to cut.
On this recipe, we made on 2 cake pans, because I didn’t have another circular cake pan. You can cut the cake with a sewing line or a serrated knife. Care to not pull the top of the cake, like I did it D:
After you divided the cake, reserve it.

Spoiler

Peach Cream

Ingredients:
-    1  can of condensed milk
-    1 can of table cream
-    250ml of concentrated peach juice
-    1 tablespoon of colorless unflavored gelatin
-    60ml. of water
-    1 un. of gelatin of peach
-    2 cups of fresh milk cream
-    3 tablespoon of sugar (to make whipping cream with the fresh milk cream)

Steps:
First you’ll need to hydrate the unflavored gelatin with the 60ml of water on “bain marie” (http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Bain-marie).
Then, you’ll need to whisk on the mixer the fresh milk cream with the sugar. Mix for 3 minutes or until it gets the consistency like the picture with the * below.
On a blender, mix the condensed milk, the table cream, the peach juice, the unflavored gelatin and the peach gelatin. Mix for 2 minutes then put the homemade whipping cream on the blender.

Spoiler

Prepare your cake pan with aluminium paper in the bottom of it. Put the first layer of the cake and cover it with the peach cream. Distribute evenly across the entire layer. Put the next layer of the cake and put another layer of peach cream. Finish it with another cake layer. Because I didn’t have a cake pan high enough to accommodate all the cake, so I improvised a cake pan made with some clean cardboard and aluminium paper, then the gelatin wouldn't drop.

Spoiler

Decoration: Gelatin

Ingredients:
-    4 un. of gelatin (on this recipe I used a raspberry gelatin because the cake icing of the peach cake was pink, and the peach gelatin selling here on Brazil is yellow >_<)
-    500ml of boiling water.

Steps:
Hydrate the gelatin with half of the water that is indicated on the instructions of the gelatin (in my case it was 500ml of water). Mix with a tablespoon until it blends it all. Wait until it turns a little viscous like being almost turn into gelatin.  Spread along the top of the cake. In my recipe, I first did 2 un. of gelatin, put on the top of the cake, waited 10 hours and then put again more 2 un. of gelatin.
Put in the fridge to chill a little.

Spoiler

Decoration 2: Biscuits + peaches + fake marzipan

Ingredients:
-    1 package of half chocolate and half biscuit (see image below).
-    1 can of canned peaches
-    A ball of “fake” marzipan
-    (to make the fake marzipan you’ll need: 1 eggwhite, ¼ cup of sugar and some icing sugar to bind the marzipan)

Steps:
To make the “fake” marzipan mix the egg white and the sugar with a fouet and put on a “bain-marie”. Keep there until it warms a little. Then pour some with some icing sugar in it and blend with the fouet until the marzipan’s consistency be like the image. Then pour some icing sugar on the table and mold until it pulls away from your finger.

Spoiler

Mold on the same pattern as the image.
Cut the peaches in 3 parts and the biscuit in 4 parts. Put on the top of the gelatin.
Spoiler

And it’s done!!! Here is some photos of the final product:

Spoiler

Thanks for reading, it was a huge wall of text and so many pictures. If someone wants I can upload all the photos that I took of the process (almost 271 pictures in total that I turned in those 7 pannels). English is not my native language, if there's something wrong I apologize, I've never had to write any recipe, I tried my best here ; w;

It Looks so delicious! 10/10.  Gratz!

Iraelle, Renewal.

Well, both things I wanted to do were already posted here... But who cares!

Since the other one is posted under the name Rune Strawberry Cake, let's call mine Handmade White Chocolate.

(The other one did not post recipe for frosting, but I will provide mine here!)

Since it's supposed to be a chocolate, it's all covered in white chocolate.

I'll try to get a better picture of the finished cake .-.

Immortal Stew!

Since it's called a stew, I wanted to make it a stew. I added some hearty vegetables since it's supposed to raise vitality.

Total time: 2 hours 40 minutes
Cooking time: 2 hours 10 minutes
Prep time: 30 minutes

The ingredients!
Spoiler

1. Add butter or olive oil to a skillet. Season the chicken with salt and pepper on each side. Cook the chicken on medium-high, about 4 minutes per side until cooked throughout. Cut with a knife and make sure there’s no pink in the middle (it doesn’t matter how it looks since we shred it later anyway). Set aside and let cool.
Spoiler

Spoiler

2. Chop the onion. Cook it for about 3 minutes in the same skillet, until translucent.
Spoiler

Spoiler

3. Peel the potatoes. Chop the potatoes into small bite-sized cubes. Use a big knife because it’s really hard. And it can get pretty messy.
Spoiler

4. In a large pot, combine the brown sugar, bay leaf, salt, pepper, and worcheshire sauce. Add in the pre-cooked onions. Let cook for about 3 minutes until aromatic.
Spoiler

5. Add the stewed tomato cans, potatoes, and butter beans. Let simmer (medium heat) for about 15 minutes.
Spoiler

6. Shred the chicken. Add to the pot, along with the chicken stock.

7. Cook for about 1 ½ hours uncovered, stirring occasionally and mashing the potatoes with your spoon. If it starts to look dry, add chicken stock ½ cup at a time.

8. Add the corn in and cook for another 10 minutes until cooked through. Remove bay leaf.
Spoiler

I made some parsnip bones. If you're looking to make them, just peel a parsnip and carve away at it with a paring knife. Be careful though, I actually cut my finger. ):

Okay, here is my submission! So I have decided to make also make a "Piece of Cake" item!

RO_PieceOfCake.png

So...

We will start with the ingredients (which I forgot to take a picture of...) but what I used was:

- 4 1/2 Cups of All-Purpose Flower

- 2 Cups of Granulated Sugar

- 1/2 tsp of Baking Powder

- 2 Sticks of Butter

- 4 Eggs

- 2 Tablespoons of Vanilla Extract

- 1/2 Cup of Milk

- Strawberries

- Whipping Cream

Combine all the ingredients...

284.jpg

282.jpg

Once all mixed, in the 9" cake pans it goes!

286.jpg

287.jpg

Then into the oven it goes!

293.jpg

296.jpg

Once the cake has cooled, then the frosting can begin!

297.jpg

299.jpg

300.jpg

I cut Strawberries and mixed it with some whipping cream to make the 'pink' stripe, and then here's the final product!

304.jpg

302.jpg

Voila! :) it was delicious!

Rainbow Cake!

I hope this is good enough!! But here!!

Recipe
For the cakes:
520g  All purpose flour
1 tablespoon of baking powder
A pinch of salt
340g of unsalted butter
525g of white sugar
6 eggs
1 tablespoon of vanilla essence
1 cup of milk

Frosting:
600g of Cream Cheese
350g of Icing Sugar (more, if you like really sweet stuffs)
1 Tablespoon of Vanilla Essence

Spoiler

Method:
Sift the flour and baking powder and salt together then just put it aside for the time being.

Whisk the butter (preferably with an electrical mixer), until fluffy.
Spoiler

Add in the sugar, mix them well, then add in the eggs and vanilla essence.
JxdU3hO.jpg
L56xEwZ.jpg

Then gradually add in the flour and mix them really really well.
Spoiler

If it turns out too runny, add more flour. I think cake batter isn't supposed to be really runny, so add in some flour if it's toooooo runny.

Once you've gotten your batter, weigh it, and divide it into 5 equal parts.
Add in the 4 colours you want (the bottom layer is just the normal cake colour).
Spoiler

Remember to mix them really well, or you'd have funny streaks and stuff.. would look really weird. O_o

Put them into baking pans (I used two 8 inch pans, cause I figured getting another 3 more similar pans would be ridiculous) and bake them for about 25 minutes (or until the stick that you'd use to poke through the cake comes out clean) at about 180 celcius.

While waiting for the cake to bake, prepare the icing/frosting.

Whisk the cream cheese until it is really really really smooth with an electric mixer. It'll take about 20 minutes, so just put it into the mixer and wait it out. (remember to check occasionally though, don't really want things to go wrong).
Spoiler

When it is really really smooth, fold in the icing sugar and you're done!
Spoiler

After the cake is done baking and while it is still hot, slice off the top and the bottom of each layer, removing the browned parts of each layer. (I didn't really do a greaat job at this)
Spoiler

After you're done removing all the brown parts (you can leave the sides if it's too difficult to remove), cream the top of each layer, and stack them up.
Spoiler

To make it look nice, cream the whole cake so it comes out like this:
Spoiler

And that's it! :D Just cut it up and have some! :D
Spoiler

Note: I used recipes from http://www.joyofbaki...anillaCake.html and http://www.bbcgoodfo...05/rainbow-cake because I'm not a fantastic chef. And if anyone has doubts about me making this cake on my own, well, I needed someone to take pictures of it while I'm baking and getting all dirty, so no, I didn't take the pictures on my own, but I did bake it myself with some nosy family members wondering what on earth am I doing, wondering if I am about to blow up the whole house. :D If there're anything you'd like to ask, feel free to PM me! I know my cake isn't the prettiest.... (in fact, I think it's one of the ugliest I've seen in my life). I used really dull colouring to try to get the same shade as the ones in game... It made the cake look a little dull, so if you're planning to try this out, use really really bright colours, and make sure your vanilla essence isn't really really dark, try to get lighter coloured ones.

Naru's VERY Simple Peach Cake

(trial and error recipe XD)

12091.png :rice:

Ingredients:

.vanilla/white angel food cake mix or mix from scratch

.water

.pink frosting or pink cream cheese

.a peach

.yogurt covered raisin and piece of chocolate

WHAT YOU NEED

Spoiler

1. Follow the mixing instructions on the back of the box. I used angel food cake mix because I never tried it before. It's very fluffy. 0-0

Spoiler

2. If you are making Angel Food cake PLEASE use an Angel Food cake pan. If you don't have the proper pan like I did, you can use this pan but DO NOT overfill it. Leave an inch or two of room!!! This picture shows what you should NOT do. XD

Spoiler

3. Bake in the oven for about 35 minutes. It's ready when it doesn't jiggle and the top is golden. Once you take it out of the oven, turn the pan upside down on a flat surface and let it cool completely! (Because I made a mistake, the cake did overflow in the oven but luckily not too much. I actually just used the bottom part of the cake as the top since it was flatter for me.) :sob:

Spoiler

4. Cut a peach like so and ice the cake with pink frosting/cream cheese.

Spoiler

5. Decorate the slice of cake like so and add a yogurt covered raisin and piece of chocolate!

Here is my entry. Was going to make a Peach Cake, but decided to try out Lutie Cold Noodles. Made it with pumpkin and carrots since they're in the in-game recipe.

Ingredients:
Noodles:
4 teaspoons salt
1 cup warmed water
2 ½ cups bread flour
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

Noodles sauce:
½ cup can of pumpkin
2 finely chopped carrots
4 large cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon butter
½ cup milk
1 tablespoon heavy cream
1/3 cup cheddar
Red chili flakes (if desired to give heat)
1 tablespoon olive oil

Topping Sauce:
1/3 cup vinegar (rice wine preferably, I only had apple cider)
4 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon ketchup
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon crushed pineapple
3 teaspoons cornstarch mixed with 4 teaspoons water

To make the noodles:
1. Combine the two types of flour and the salt in a large bowl. Gently mix together.
Spoiler

2. Warm up about 1 cup of water and stir it into the flour.
3. Mix everything together until a lumpy ball forms. If it’s too dry, add a couple tablespoons of water.
Spoiler

4. Flour a cutting board or large countertop surface. Place the ball on it and knead it with the base of your hands for about 5 minutes.
Spoiler

5. Place the ball of dough in a large ziplock bag. Roll out with a rolling pin.
Spoiler

Spoiler

6. Take the ball of dough out and fold it on top of itself. Place it back in the bag and roll it out again with the rolling pin. Do this one more time, for a total of 3 times being rolled out.
Spoiler

7. Let the dough rest in the bag for about 3 hours.
8. Take the dough out and form it into a ball. Place the dough back in the back one more time and roll it out again.
9. Take the dough out of the bag; form into a ball and roll it flat on a cutting board.
10. Cut strips from the blob of dough. Take each strip and twist between the palms of your hands until the desired thickness is reached (these noodles should be pretty thick). If they’re too long, cut them in half before cooking.

!!Himari's Rune Strawberry Cake!! Entry!!!!!!!                !!!HONORABLE MENTION PRIZE WINNER!!!

Very simple recipe- Ingredients:

  •
  • White chocolate 150grams
  •
  • Dark chocolate 100grams
  •
  • Self Raising Flour 3/4 cup
  •
  • Strawberry Jam 100grams(or 3 tablespoons)
  •
  • Cream of Tartar 3/4 teaspoon
  •
  • 4 Eggs, seperated as whites and yolks
  •
  • Thickened Cream 900grams(whipping cream in the US i think they call it)
  •
  • Strawberries!!! 2 punnets, or 500grams!
  •
  • Olive Oil(Can use canola or sunflower but for baking cakes, best flavour comes from olive oil. Even better if its extra virgin. 60 for the cake, and more for later)
  •
  • Caster Sugar(160 grams seperated into 2 batches of 80 grams, and some for your whipped cream!)
  •
  • Water 60 grams
  •
  • Salt 3 grams
  •

EXTRA KNOWLEDGE!!!

Oil and Fats-

Now normally in cakes we know there is alot of use in butter or margarine, but many of you are probably wondering now.......why oil? This is because Oil and Fats are interchangable components within pastry making and general cake baking, a recipe that requires oil can use butter/margarine and vis versa, the only difference you will notice is two things; Oil tend to make more moist cakes, but don't tend to make as delightful a scent in the final baked product, whereas, Butter/margarine and other fats in general tend to make cakes abit more dry, but make them smell absolutely divine. More for you to know!

Room tempurature Eggs for dummies-

We all know as much as the next guy that for baking pastries and other lovely bakery type products, eggs at room tempurature(between 23-28 degrees celcius) are the most optimal to use, however there is a way to cheat this system without wasting any time during your mixing process! Notice I have water in my ingredients correct? if you heat that water to warm body tempurature (37 degree's celcius), when you add it into your mix as you follow my recipe, it will warm up your egg yolks that you are mixing, which will always give it that near optimal tempurature for use!! Seriously, it works like a charm, trust me!! More for you to know!

Methodology!

The Cake!

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 180 degree's celcius
  2. Prepare a 18cm diameter cake tin, preferably 6-7 cm high, this cake can rise alot!
  3. To make the cake first put your egg whites into the mixing bowl. Using the whisk type attachment for your mixer you set it to medium speed(for those of you who have numbers on their mixers instead of words, between 3-4 are medium speeds) and allow it to whisk the eggs, add in the cream of tartar and then slowly pour in 80 grams of caster sugar, allowing it to mix through thoroughly. Whisk until you form nice firm to hard peaks like shown. Remove the meringue you have made into another bowl and leave on the side.http://s22.postimg.o...0628_102456.jpg
  4. In the same mixing bowl that was used to mix up your egg whites, put your egg yolks, the other 80grams batch of caster sugar, oil, water in together and whisk away until you can see that all ingredients are incorporated in, mix of course again at medium speed. Once all ingredients are incorporated intogether, change speed to low and slowly add your self raising flour(sift it, regardless whether the flour comes sifted or not, you can never be too sure about lumps), and salt into the mix until all is incorporated, take this mixture off the mixer. Combine the meringue we made in step three with the sticky flour mixture we have just made, AND, hand fold it in. No spoon, no nothing, I want you to hand fold it in, you need to be gentle with this mixture and make sure everything is mixed in well.
  5. Pour the mixture into the cake tin, spreading it out evenly, bake at 180 degree's celcius for 30-40 minutes or until you can poke a skewer through it and it comes out cleanly.http://s22.postimg.o...0628_103717.jpg
  6. Here is the tricky part, you need to rest it upside down, notice the image how I have done it but balancing it upon 3 cups of the same height, the problem with this cake is its like a souffle, it will sink immediately if you leave it downside up after taking it out of the oven. Rest it for 7-10 minutes until the cake tin is easy to handle with your hands, turn the cake out onto a cooling rack after like so still upside down.

Making the wings

  1. Lets get to drawing some wings, just get a piece of paper and draw some cute angel wings, then cut it out. Now normally you would use something known as acitate paper for chocolateer work, however that is expensive, so for the cheap person, you can use overhead projector sheets, they work just as fine! Cut out two pieces of overhead projector sheets that will be big enough for your wings, a nice rectangular cut is good!http://s22.postimg.o...0628_081349.jpg
  2. Get your white chocolate into a heatproof bowl, splash some olive oil over it and put into your microwave for 1 minute, take out and mix, if its still lumpy, put it in for 30 seconds and repeat the process of taking out and mixing and nuking for another 30 seconds until its all smooth.
  3. Next using a piping bag, pipe the white chocolate into the shape of the angel wing you drew and cut out on the projector sheet like so.
  4. Place quickly ontop of a cup or mug as you see, this way we can give it the effect that the wings can bend like in the picture of the rune strawberry cake.
  5. Repeat the same for the other wing, however! flip the angelwing cut out over so we get a different sided wing, and quickly place ontop of a cup or mug, you need to do both quickly before the white chocolate sets and wont allow you to place it to mold....http://s30.postimg.o...28_092109_1.jpg
  6. When the chocolate decoration is set, remove them from the cup and out of the projector sheets. Using some melted dark chocolate in a piping bag, add some lovely details like so to your angel wings to give them a defining look!http://s22.postimg.o...0628_120111.jpg

Cake Assembly!

  1. Make your whipped cream! For those who dont know how, mix your whipped cream with a whisk in a mixer of medium speed and pour some caster sugar into it for however sweet you want(You can even have none like my cake has, since I made my cake to be consumed by people who are diabetic. It just means it takes longer for the cream to whip up since caster sugar allows the cream to capture air in order to fluff up!)http://s22.postimg.o...0628_114004.jpg
  2. finely slice your strawberries, making sure to leave 3 very good ones for the last final decoration(dont cut those 3!!). Take care in slicing them, your handiwork will really show when its time to consume your creation!
    http://s30.postimg.o...28_074924_1.jpg
    http://s30.postimg.o...28_075746_1.jpg
  3. cut your cake into a heart shape, its easier when you have a heart template to use to make it nice. Now slowly but surely cut your cake into three even slices!
    http://s21.postimg.o...28_140413_2.jpg
  4. First pipe or palette knife spread some whipped cream, then load your strawberries, a nice single layer of strawberries will do, no need to overdo it, and do it nicely like I have shown!!! you will understand why later!!
    http://s21.postimg.o...28_141843_2.jpg
    http://s21.postimg.o...28_142109_2.jpg
  5. Repeat step four for the next layer that you place ontop of it. afterwards put the last layer ontop and vola!!!
    http://s21.postimg.o...28_142710_2.jpg
  6. Now we need to mask our cake, and i mean mask heavily, not lightly , normally this step is very hard to do, but I will make it easier for you by showing you that you can pipe the amount of cream you need all around the cake as shown, this ensures your not masking it with too much cream, and there is less need to patch up holes.
    http://s21.postimg.o...28_143243_2.jpg
    http://s22.postimg.o...0628_143615.jpg
  7. Now that we have finished masking, lets use some strawberry jam in a piping bag to make the words on the top 'LOVE' and then slowly make a nice line of strawberry jam along the side of the cake
    http://s22.postimg.o...0628_144921.jpg
    http://s22.postimg.o...0628_150504.jpg
  8. Finally, attach your wings onto the cake and the strawberries for decoration!!! Congrats your Rune Strawberry Cake is done!!
    http://s22.postimg.o...0628_151136.jpg

Final Note-

Heres a cross section of the cake as its being devoured, the reason I tell you all to place the strawberries nicely is so then it creates a very attractive nice pattern along the sides as you eat it, it looks more neat and uniform!

Thanks :D

Just a few notes:

- Out of all the possible shops at the plaza we went to, none of them sold heart-shaped trays so we were stuck with a round-shaped one.

- The icing pen: it was so hard to squeeze so it screwed up the design a little lol oh well

- Pardon me that I can't supply the exact amount of the ingredients we used. We just had fun lol

- and Pardon me again: we couldn't take it out of the pan or else it'd fall apart  :p_cry:

- It tasted good :D
