Patch Notes 6/25

*Subject to change at anytime

 

1. Bug Fixes

 

   A. Viking Costumes can now be fused with 3 slots. 

   B. Wonderland Costume's Bow animation has been fixed.   Will be fixed next patch.

   C. NPCs have found their missing speech text. 

   D. Frame-rate lag from using AoE skills against monsters has been fixed. 

   E. Jamie Father's Quest description has been fixed. 

   F. Rune Elixirs that were on sale have been fixed. 

 

2. Changes

 

   A. Ymir Form

         i. Casting Time

              Current: 1.9 to 2.9

              Change: 1.5

         ii. Cancellation of Skill (during cast)

              Current: Impossible

              Change: Possible

 

   B. Awake Soul Mate/ Darkness

         i. Cancellation of Skill (during cast)

              Current: Impossible

              Change: Possible

 

   C. Common Change

         i. Immune

              Current: Able

              Change: Disabled

 

   D. Class Quest Reward Item Improvement

         i. Fierce Resonance (Level 25)

 

 

3. Guild Vault

 

   A. War of Emperium Castle and Fortress owners will now have access to an exclusive Guild Vault

         i. The Guild Vault can be entered through the Vault Manager located within each Fortress and Castle, and in major villages. 

              -The managers can only be used by the guild members of the Castle or Fortress owners. 

              -When a guild loses the Castle or Fortress, any remaining members inside the Guild Vault will be transported to Prontera.

         ii. The Mimic boss will spawn inside the Castle's Guild Vault every day at 3:00am PDT  every 23 hours after it has been killed.  

              -The boss will drop random items from the following list:

         iii. A Giant Poring will spawn inside the Fortress Guild Vaults.  

 

 

 

4. Events

 

   A. June Khara Event (June 25-July 23)

         i. June Powders will be dropping from monsters and the Lunius Random Boxes sold in the Kafra Shop

         ii. Collect Lunius Powders to trade in at the Event NPCs for items. 

              -Exchange 10 Lunius Powders for 1 Lunius Fragment

              -Exchange 10 Lunius Fragments for 1 Lunius Piece

              -Exchange 10 Lunius Pieces for 1 Perfect Lunius

         iii. Perfect Lunius will give a +3000 HP Buff for an hour if consumed

         iv. Lunius Piece will give recover 500 HP when consumed

         v. If you consume 10 Perfect Lunius, you will get the Khara Title, Summer Sculptor

              -Effects: +1000 HP/ 3% Damage/ +100 Critical Hit Rate

         vi. If you consume 10 Lunius Pieces, you will get the Khara Title, Summer Collector

              -Effects: +150 HP/ 1% Damage/ +100 Hit/ +100 Evade

         vii. The Khara Titles will have double effects during the event period. 

         viii. Lunius Box (*see below)

 

 

 

5. Kafra Update

 

   A. Phantom Pyramid & Munil Exchange

         i. 7th floor prize will be changed to Apolon's Rira (1 slot)

         ii. 6th floor prize will be changed to Ali Baba Costume Box 

         iii. You can trade in 10 Chance Coupons at Munil Exchange for Feather of Wisdom (1 slot)

 

   B. New Kafra Shop Items

 

         i. Munil's Supply Random Box I

              Chance of dropping one of the following:

              -Blessing Powder

              -Lucky Powder

              -Infinium

              -Dye

              -Premium Dye

              -Chance Coupon

              -Pump It Up Hard Pill

 

         ii. Lunius Box

              Chance of dropping one of the following:

              -1 Lunius Fragment

              -3 Lunius Fragment

              -5 Lunius Fragment

              -1 Lunius Piece

              -3 Lunius Piece

              -5 Lunius Piece

              -1 Perfect Lunius

              -3 Perfect Lunius

              -5 Perfect Lunius

              -10 Perfect Lunius

 

         iii. Munil's Costume Random Box II

              Chance of dropping one of the following:

              -Mushroom (M/F)

              -Rabbit (F)

              -Cat (M)

              -Gothic Loli (M/F)

              -Ali Baba

              -Chance Coupon

 

         iv. Munil's Accessory Random Box III

              Will drop one of the following:

              -Black Cat's Ears

              -Aurora Band

              -Fur Hat

              -Earplugs

              -Humongous Horn

              -Mushroom Head (M/F)

              -Rabbit Ears 

              -Cat Eats 

              -Gothic Loli Cap

              -Ali Baba Hat

              -Ali Baba Veil

              -Chance Coupon

 

*Platinum and Gold Packs have been delayed to test a new item inside of them further. Existing Gold and Platinum Packs will remain in the Kafra Shop for this time.

 

         vii. Premium Mount Box (with chance of Single Sphere)

         viii. Single Sphere (30 days)

 

   C. Set Effects (June 25 to July 23)

 

   D. Fusion

         i. Gothic Loli and Ali Baba costumes can be obtained via random Fusion

So now there is only one type of boss in the Vaults instead of there being a different Boss Monster in each Fort/Castle?  And now it's only going to spawn once a day with a huge list of RNG so winning guilds could get shafted for prizes?

 

and YO where's our lower face accessory from Munil already?  when was the last time we had one?

Ymir doesn't have invincibility anymore.

 

Means the people who were reliant on it need to change up their strategy
 

 

Also I sure hope Lunius actually drops this time

Current in-game description is +1500HP (+1500 Event bonus). I assume this +1000 is a typo? *o* Need. Moar. HP.

More events~ /*-*/ ...More costume~ ....  and the lag?  i cant play !! i dont care costume and more tittles im lv 21 and i cant play because you never fix nothing in this game.... Just new costume, new events new blablabla .... -__- Fix something important !!

Maybe Im too stupid to understand this but isn't ymir has always been cancellable by using stun/knockdown against them? Or are we talking about self cancel?

Self-cancel, it forms the basis of the ymir invincibility bug. (keep casting and canceling to apply the ymir invincibility buff)

This i was expected lols. Poor ali baba owner, it can obtain now in random fusion, ninja would be rare now than alibaba.

 

And the earplugs i will wait you in auction house ^^ Im lucky to sell my earplugs 2s = 100 infi, 20 bp coz i predicted it also would come in munil.

 what the heck those woe prizes,  like anyone needs anything better from woe when its only 2-3 guilds doing it and passing everything to each other.     why give them even more ways to get stronger and seperate everyone.

oh why not just give us   alberta woe map,    morroc woe map so that way smaller guilds and stuff have a chance at getting this OP prizes and rewards , then maybe woe will be fun  and more ppl will play again

yea maybe but  with them doing that  they  cant be everywhere at once, so if small guilds band together  u could break the forces and take something.       either way its still a better system then what we have atm .       so doesnt hurt to give it a shot if itll give smaller newer guilds a chance at getting something.

 

instead of  only  top OP guilds getting more op and walking over everyone.

Yeah besides you would need more healthy guilds to actually strengthen an already strong alliance. ATM with dwindling playing population it would be difficult for an alliance to be everywhere at a given point of time. So smaller guilds do have a chance in such a system in the current scenario which will also help them strengthen their guild. Rather than in the current state of things where the divide just broadens.

Some players already made a point, those rewards are just gonna make the gap between tops and small guilds even bigger, i think you guy are implementing this new rewards to make woe more attractive but the thing is, ppl dont go to woe coz theres a whole alliance a really really big one right now in there + the game is laggy as hell and woe was already laggy i dont want to imagine how it is now.


Gms/CM should think twice this update and maybe think about a rebalance.and not rush it in this patch.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR
implement a way to obtain those items besides WOE lets say for zenny (zenny sinks *wink wink*) or give a use to the -_- ton of BP and Victory medals that we have right now.

Ehhh, I wasn't really planning to post because I know it's just going to be interpreted as QQ and whatnot but here goes... my thoughts...

 

I like to lurk in public chat a lot...  and yeah half the time I don't read it, but the other half that I do- I see a new player every now and then come into the channel and ask about pvp in this game. They get told about Colo and WoE and like many aspects of this game at the moment, that it's pretty darn broken. People straight up tell them not to even consider PvP/WoE because it's so impossible to face and the brokenness.

 

It's sucky because everyone has their own individual play-style, and if that new player happens to be a more PvP-oriented player, comments like that are just going to scare them away.

 

This new reward system that's planned to be thrown in is just going to increase the gaps between anti-social players, smaller guilded players, players with less time and effort to give to the game, etc. It's not a good idea in my opinion to add this.

 

I do like the idea of adding additional WoE maps to the other cities. It'd force guilds and alliances to direct their defenses or offenses to more centralized places while giving smaller guilds or smaller alliances a chance at getting something.

 

It's too demotivating for new guilds and small guilds to join in WoE. Either you team up with other guilds or you're just going to get pummeled, what fun is that? Why would you even want to try? It's the same thing with Colo. You either have a guild or a group of friends that you make a pre-made with or you face running into another pre-made alone. It's demoralizing and it scares people away.

 

I think a different approach needs to be taken to get people interested in WoE and Colo again, not throw in these thoughtless quick-fix attempt awards that are just going to make things worse.

 

And hey, while I'm throwing my brain out in to the open here, the new angle seems to be "lets make this more like RO1", so I'm going to borrow a suggestion from a friend that I very much agree with, and suggest adding a -50% damage debuff to all players while on the WoE map (I might have the percentage wrong but that's how it is in RO1, right?). Would help with the 1-shot skills and OP damage.
