I noticed the 3 pvp games listed and had a question on how they function.  What I mean by that is I see many seem to group up etc... then later I see a shout about join CD CD etc.  Does that mean they have the team stacked that if you solo que then your against the group folks that are all sitting in vent and organized?

I just wanted to mainly know if solo joining if the teams are broken up and evenly distributed.  Last night I entered the que and it show 25 players / 19 groups.  I thought it was 7-10 vs 7-10 shouldn't those players be playing in a match already cause it doesnt show a match active.  I'm confussed as to how it works and many have told me they wait hours to do it.    This means a few things, ... something is broken ... the groups are causing problems.     Things like this is what makes many give up even trying to get into doing pvp if it takes an hour or more.  It seems like CD is only thing I ever see ppl asking others to do, are the others broken or not good?    Not to talk about other games but a game like wow did a cross server que so wait times where not like this, it would also allow server... server fighting.

Thank you for all you replies, looking to get into doing some pvp but if joining in solo is not and option then it's gonna be hard.

Groups that queue up are not broken, which is why the queue will sometimes get stuck and people will have to wait a long time before the Entry message pops up. The reason people group up together is so that they can play in the same team.  Joining solo is certainly an option. The majority of people do it. If the queue shows 25/19, then it could mean 18 solo people and one group of 7. Or 16 solo people, one group of 3, and one group of 6. Etc. Etc.

People have pretty mixed feelings about grouping. On one side, it is fun to be able to play together with your friends. Grouping also lets you have mini wars, if you are setting up two big groups. It is also fun to decimate the giant groups with your randomly formed team. On the other side though, a lot of times the randomly formed teams are pretty crappy against the big stacked groups, especially if it is just a bunch of clerics (fs/bc) and mages. And of course, there is the annoyance of it taking forever to fire off the game due to the system having trouble distributing the groups into teams.

I would suggest you to just go and try playing solo and see how it is. Maybe you will meet some friends in the game that you will start grouping with to play the PvP instances.

The other two, DP and AA, are not "broken," and they aren't "not good." They were added relatively recently compared with CD, so many people still just play CD. DP is a different type of game -- capture the flag (egg) that can be difficult to find enjoyable. AA  is like a bigger version of CD (30 people game instead of 20) that is played on the old Union War map. But because nobody queues for AA, it is very difficult to start. A side issue to this problem is the fact that there is the bug that can kick you out of the game as soon as you are entering if you queue for multiple games at once.
