I realized that while I was killing Doonges in Kenji Beach for the Dangerous Doonga Debacle, my kills were not going up even though I killed about 20 already. I also had taken the stockpiling quest, can't recall the exact name of it, from Eva in Junon Polis and after abandoning that one my kills were being kept track of. My branch count from the Doongas were going up though, just not the kills from the other quest. Not sure if this is a bug or because I'm attempting to get 2 quest items from 1 monster.

It's because the two quests will fight over the proofs/items. Normally I just keep going, whats the worst that happens you level and get drops maybe a little longer
