www.playragnarok.com is the official iRO website, but there's quite a bit of misleading and outdated information. Let's compile some screenshots, links and edits to help the GMs and CMs get the website up to date c:

If you have screenshots, please keep them under spoilers

so there's no immense page stretching going on. Thank you!

VIP vs Non-VIP package

Spoiler

Classes Page: Rune Knight Sprite Update and Kagero / Oboro New class

Spoiler

Server Features - mentions Iris, Loki, Chaos, Sakray. Needs to be updated with Classic Loki / Renewal Chaos

Kafra Shop - Needs complete update since it changes quite often.

Kafra Shop Guide - Needs to mention the Kafra Shop button at the top right of the screen instead of the Kafra NPCs. Step 2 on this page also mentions Ymir, Valkyrie, and Yggdrasil servers in the first sentence which should be changed to Classic Loki and Renewal Chaos

Value Added Service - Name change available via Kafra Shop

Site should also have a mentioning of mounts, Dragons, Gryphons, Lions, Alpacas, Emus, Porings, Frogs, Hyenas, and Foxes.

How To Play  Beginner Guide - Refer to this post here.

More Organized Updates - It would be neat if the 'updates' section was categorised with a tab for each new episode that would list the new maps, quests and items. This is already being done in a way but in a (scattered) forum post fashion with the information getting buried.

Unlike forums posts I think new episode content overview is always relevant. It would be nice if it were more categorised/grouped and accessible!

Confusing Download Link - The only line of words that is clickable is the 9/4 update. People actually have to click on the picture of the blue poring, it seems. How about making words "CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD" clickable so people don't get confused as to how to actually download the game? Or put "CLICK HERE" above the blue poring?

Actually Non-VIP and VIP have access to 1,800 storage slots, do they not? It may require a player to enter the Mail Annex Room, but still 1,800 total slots.

i think non-vips are not able to add to the 2nd/3rd storage; they can only withdraw existing items (unless it's a stackable item, in which case they can add so long as they have at least 1 of that item in storage at all times)

All these are located at Home > Game Guide > How To Play > Beginner Guide >

"Job Change System" - does not mention either Rebirth nor 3rd Classes.

"Distributing Experience" - mentions the old Share Range of 10 instead of 15 levels.

"How to join" - needs a total overhaul, it doesn't explain anything!

"How to start" - should mention the difference between classic and chaos (which server is which game version).

"System" - the part about marriage should lead to a page that actually explains how to get married.

"Status" - Needs an updated graphic for Status Point allocation, as the old "5 everything" novice creation screen doesn't exist anymore.

"Basic Interface" - Actually explain the damn interface? One sentence ala "You can change the design of the interface using several different skins." doesn't do much for a total newbie.

"Keyboard Shortcuts" - Explain how to use the Keyboard Configuration Menu ingame.

"Camera Controls" - I have no idea if that "Place the mouse cursor over the image to see an example." is supposed to work or not.

"Attack Strategies" - Complete overhaul with actual explanation, including /noctrl and /noshift for heal please!

"Leveling Up" - for some reason the second and third explanations are those of the "Moving and Chatting" menu.

"Trading" - Update this with the new Renewal Trade Window and mention to always take a screenshot while trading, for safety purposes.

"Party Play" - Merge that with "Distributing Experience" and explain party play properly, including Turn In Parties for Renewal.

Will add more later!

I think our proposal to get the RO1 page updated is getting underway, likely the layout will strongly resemble what RO2's page looks like. The content is still up to us to submit modifications for.

Please don't. The website for iRO2 is horribly minimalistic.

Actually that design is a 99% copy of the Guild Wars 2 website, lol.

Oh geez, we've reduced ourselves to copying other games' websites now?

Here's an idea: how about we copy the old iRO website?

I agree the current one imo is very badly made and is very gloomy for a game such as RO which makes me feel like the designer confused RO for Requiem or something. I personally also like fRO's websites while plain they are very simple and a cheerful colour plus super simple to navigate.

I even prefer their forum style as well but that is a minor complaint.

One plus for the RO2 style design (which we agree is a little simple to convey all the stuff we need to do, but it is designed to scale for mobile devices and having formats on images and such in common with other sites would make it faster to update for our web team.

Of course I love the original RO website, especially when we had the animated poring and gif of characters walking through town at the top.

Unless RO and RO2 will be playable on mobile devices, I don't see why you would bother designing the websites for mobile devices when it would be most likely PC players looking stuff up.

Oda already gave the reason they won't use the old desgin: More work involved.

Not like the current website hasn't been updated in years which makes the argument of work moot... OH WAIT!

I love how they disregard our opinions and do what they want anyway.

The RO2 site is bland and minimal. The old RO1 site is excellent (discounting the BBS). You've been TOLD that the RO2 site is horrid, so why persist with the most unpopular choice? Are you doing it to save time and money? I can't wait to see how people react to your wonderful "lightweight" design you explicitly chose to minimise workload. It'll probably minimise players' opinion too.

Btw if at any point in the new website I see a link to Ragnarok Wiki or iRO Wiki, I'll break out laughing. Wanna know why these wikis even exist? It's because devs like Gravity can't be stuffed publishing their own guide content anymore!

Kinda like game manuals, which nowadays usually contain health warnings, "how to install diagrams", maybe a control scheme and then the credits page. Nothing interesting or useful.

*rant rave rant*

How about an English version of kRO's site?

http://ro.gnjoy.com/

Copy-paste the layout and just translate everything to English. And since you're copying kRO's site, it'll already have all the information you need for the updates we don't have yet so you won't have to touch it for years!

Yeah, then they can leave it up to us to tell people "we don't have that yet" on the forums and answer why when they're looking for content we don't have.

We stole the kRO website for the original website don't see why we can't do it again. She means the images, placement and whatnot as in translating the buttons not the actual dialog.

We already do that anyhow. At least with more people asking, that might push the iRO team to hurry it up with the updates.

It's either we have a horribly outdated site or a site that's updated into the far future. Considering how little they update the site, I'd rather have everything ahead of time than them not adding anything at all.
