I'm looking for suggestion and improvement for my new and targeted gear set. My aim is neutral reduction. If possible EQ too! XD

Most of the time i will use this gear set for tanking.. Because Aspd RK is lazy XP

My list of gear is

+12 Palace Guard Cap (12%)

3D glasses           (5%)

+9 Heroic Backpack   (10%)

Devilling Card       (50%) -50% other element

Alice card           (40% MVP) -40% normal monster

Tidung [1]           (5% all element)

82% neutral reduction

To recover 50% penalty from Devilling.

2x Kafra Blossom           ([Fire], [Wind], [Water], [Earth], [Holy], [Shadow] Elements 10% and proc another 10% at 2% chance)

Valkyrja's Shield     (WaterFireShadow and Undead Property 20%)

Elemental/Race carded Shield

Elemental armor

By right, (correct me if I'm wrong) I should get 77% of total neutral reduction. But how about alice card, race/elemental shield, and elemental armor effect? On the side note, how about Ghostring card, since I bought it last week but I'm still not sure how to use it properly.

Situation:

Let say, I'm meeting Ifrit here... equipped with fire armor, fire proof pot, formless shield where he keep proc EQ like greeting a guest into his house.

Reality:

Currently, always death on EQ. Survive on Ygg with him on just normal atk and his fireball.

My build is crit/aspd (already have a proper gear for crit aspd :-)  and if this is working, I will try on mental strength monk..

gddy.gif Hehehhehehehe....

Neutral resist does not reduce earthquake damage. Only Energy Coat and Ghostring reduce it.

I think you calculation is correct.

By the way, are you trying to solo Ifrit? His EQ from is extremely strong; the total damage is like 220,000 or more.

Ghostring card should reduce EQ damage by 30%, but clearly this is not enough.

If you want to solo Ifrit, how about build a Gene? This is because RK has to setup skills like 2H Quicken, Berserk potions, Runes, etc, while Gene is more straight forward.

Haha!!! no way I will solo Ifrit!! Not a slightest chance I will do it. Plus. For mvp, I believe there is no way you can beat a gene in term of flexibility and cost. I have one, but very lazy to play it.

What I'm trying to achieve here is not killing him or any mvp instead the best outcome you can get from a set of gear.

I have get my objective on pure ASPD, pure Crit, and pure SP max. With the new item introduced recently, those can be polished more but at least I get the basic sense what I should look for.

Note that MVP card or god item should not be accounted. Hence, now what I'm looking here is neutral resistance build.

Thnx to confirm about Ghostring... but still not sure how to calculate it correctly. Any calculator out there??

Thnx, update the list. Now 82% neutral reduction. Will this be the highest? XD

Missing immune shield still. Not sure if the parasite card description is correct. But like graydoz said, the effectiveness of this is questionable and very situational. The best gears in the game is to have different gears for different situations. FAW is generally better than HBP for general use these days too.

How about parasite card on Immune shield, that will be another 10% is it?
