[Suggestion] Bring back our old exciting raid dungeons!

Greetings from ro2 Indonesia, i'm an Indonesian player..

 

*before i go to the suggestion, i want to say sorry for a few things :

1. for my bad english.

2. for posting at this thread/forum, my reason is : i know IDRO2 will be "copy paste" patch from here, so i thought its no point posting there..

3. bad quality of the video

 

*i played at SEA (Kraken Guild) then moved to Indonesia (KASKUS guild), i've played long enough to know the excited things in this game, so my reason to post this is the lack of excitement of playing this game.. its obviously RAID dungeons!

the activities in game now : login > setting up macro > AFK.. and now my guildmates and friends one by one is quitting this game.. i asked them and they most answered : "no activities in this game! just afk event or boring WOE"

 

*i'll straight to the point, my suggestion is :

 

make a new level "difficulty" of RAID dungeons : Baphomet Garden, PVE Arena, Culvert of Abyss, Abaddon of Despair (not recommended bcoz of maya bug)

*what exactly inside this new system?

-everything will be the same as hard level : boss skill, adds, AOE timer! except the power of bosses, hp, def etc... make it "EXTREME" difficulty! especially for the last boss.... and yes! make it lockout status like the old one every 3 days..

 

*what to pursue inside this new dungeons?

-its basically up to the devs but i suggest like chaos dungeon rewards, lets say "Mystery Chest II" for small bosses, "Mystery Chest III" for last boss

-"Mystery Chest II" reward : Infinium, Blessing powder, and another junk like "Old Blue Chest" from RHD

-"Mystery Chest III" reward : +5/10 Immediate refine stone (since the boss is make Overpowered)

 

*will it be really excited?

-for me yes, lemme share some video, this video is PRE-AOV, its about the "LEGIT way killing RATMASTER hard" - WARNING : bad quality

*good things i think will happen :

-more activities in game, more party in game (now more likely to solo)

-All dungeon reset scroll will be in kafra items

-people "skill" will increase, not just pressing 2 keys to kill bosses (attack and healing pet)

 

*bad things i think will happen :

-people will start whining (OH PLEASE NERF THAT BOSS, or something like that)

-undergeared people will have a hard time to get a party

this is something some players that knew how the things would go ask since december.... the only thing we got until now is that the ml test now it's harder and you need baphometh hard gears to pass it

Pre - AoV

Leveling
- Can be soloed or on a party.
Dungeons and raids
- Must have a full party to clear.

AoV

Leveling
- MUST have a party, and you will take a gajillion years if you dont have one.
Dungeons and Raids
- Can be facerolled and soloed.

Basically, everything went backwards ever since which is not a very good idea and killed literally almost evrything. The problem we have right now is players have super imba damage, mega buff HP and very high dodge and defense against PVE monsters. And bosses and mobs inside these dungeons misses a lot on you ( like i said you have high dodge agaisnt these things.) and they do not do their intended damage agaisnt players. The formula for AoV ( damage, hit, dodge etc ) basically screwed everything up and took away the gameplay. Which caused the all class imbalance of classes, raids becoming obselete, story quests can just be skipped by just grinding your way through monsters and the new gameplay for AoV is grind yourself to death and afk in prontera/morroc and look pretty. That is the end game now, look pretty. Its been months since AoV was started and practically lost a lot of players which are willing to pay $$ if the game was only fixed or improved ever since this started. No one has said to fix everything in 1 night but how long has it been? I dont even wanna know, Patch by Patch nothing has been happening good and only things that were improved is costumes and how you can spend more money ingame. How i wish they have only listened from the start before all this happened.

I totally agree with jhay1825 and it's the reason why I even suggested to reopen a pre-AoV server as well.

 

The thing is that these changes aren't usually that hard to implement.... they only need some time. I'm not talking about glitches, server performance, clustering, etc. that might be hard, but I'm talking about the stuff that can be easily 'stored', manipulated and used.

 

I mean the SP costs are fix values, not even calculated ones. So store them in a file, read them into an array and use them wherever you want. And a balance there only means to change a few numbers there. The same is true for other things, like gear stats, the cooldown of skills, the damage, the defense values of monsters.

 

If I would have access to these things, I bet it wouldn't take more than a weekend to solve these issues. So I don't know how much gravity developers earn per hour, but we're talking about a few hundred dollars in total.

Anyway i have more suggestion in extreme mode u propose:
1. Make a special random buff to the mobs (can be like reflect/immune damage to certain class skills, mobs transforming to bigger size and smaller size every some secs *bigger means get stronger smaller means get weaker*, or permanent hp/damage buff by huge number *like 50%*
2. Give time limit of how long to clear the dungeon, or give death limit per run. If a party breaks the time/death limit, the party will disband automatically and all members get kicked out of the raid.
3. For more fun i suggest give some funny aoe that can damage us if not moving immediately.

Believe it, even if that dungeon is meant to be only party dungeon, with these things implemented will add a lot variety of gameplay in dungeon (all these things are taken from astral dungeons in Allods Online), and will make ppl think better than just spamming some hotkeys.
