I followed irowiki (classic) guide, and chose Part 4b "Why Should I Help Them?" so I didn't get Serin's Gold Ring.

 

Down near the end of the quest there's another choice: to give Symbol of the Nine Realms to Witch Kirkena or to Serin.

 

My char is a HP, I wish to choose Witch Kirkena so I can bring some mates to help me kill Dark Illusion and other monsters, but seems the Witch will ask for Serin's Gold Ring (which I don't have...).

 

As I've chosen wrong option earlier, I will have to take Serin. That means I have to beat Dark Illusion by myself, no help allowed.

 

Am I screwed...???? My HP even if 99, is a woe support one, so won't be able to fight Dark Illusion.

 

Or is there a way for a support HP to beat DI?

Or if I log a ticket, can GM reset my quest back to earlier step so I can take Part 4a that will give me Serin's Gold Ring?

Dark illusion is a demon so you can use sanctuary to kill it.

or heal it since it's element is undead

My recommendation would be to respec your HP into Maximus Exorcismus for this fight.

 

Cast it ahead of time and lure Dark Illusion into it while throwing Lex Aeterna's at it - it should go down fairly quickly.

 

Once you're done with that you could respec back into your previous skill set.

 

Providing you have some Magical Stones to work with, this should not be costly since you're only level 99.

skill resets aren't free on classic?  i don't think he would need to reset stats since he's support anyway.  just bring lots of bgems for safetywall and ME and spam lex like mentioned above

if he's on classic DI's have over 100K hp; assuming he does around 2k a healbomb that's still a long time to be getting beat on.

he di also doesnt hurt too. I have done it before and i wouldnt call it hard

sanctuary + heal bomb = fairly easy in the worst scenario

have an archer merc to skill spam with u too

I did this on my dancer 3 weeks ago and had help from a HP who wasn't even level 99 and she took down the Dark Illusion herself easily. You should have no trouble.

Hello, I'm on this quest right now.....

 

I died because the game's lagging while I'm in the middle of defeating DI....Now whenever I talk to Serin, all she said just " I need to make a preparation..."

 

I thought the quest was failed, but when I talk to Metz or Kirkena, they didn't talk anything except the words they said before I take on DI.

 

What should I do? Did I just failed it or...?

Just wait for this weeks maintenance and then talk again with the Sirena or the witch. If nothing still happens then I don't know. That also happened to me got Dc at that battle part but was able to finish it after a weeks maintenance.
