Game DC and forum went down.

 

i started up my ro client and it is updating form 2011.

If a proxy server returns an error page when the patch client requests the patch list (patch2.txt), the patch client replaces the list with the contents of the error message. It then thinks that there are no patches to apply and "remembers" that the last successfully applied patch was #0.

This causes it to have to start over the next time it successfully retrieves the patch list. It's a silly bug in the patch client and really should be fixed.

something is wrong with your patch file. Which server are you trying? When was the last time you were playing?

 

If you were playing without issue last week get the files from this link and replace the ones in your RO folder.

For Classic Choose Patch Number 282 (6-11)

For Renewal Choose Patch Number 2548 (6-11)

 

If it has been longer this won't work as there is a large chance of sprite errors and the like.

damn Oda... Where it says "To make it.." I thought the answer was in the link, but the link then links to itself then to itself forever more creating hundreds of open tabs in firefox to the same page making me go crazy because there is no end point! ARGHHHHH!!!

i was playing (renewal) when the server went down.

and the client started downloading as soon as i started the client.

Ever since this happened, my client crashes when I try to enter the Glast Heim instance. I tried repatching using patch 2548, like Campitor instructed, but it's still crashing.

For Glastheim instance I suggest using.... 2529

For Glastheim instance I suggest using.... 2529


Mine was also patching from 2011, which was why I followed those instructions too. Gonna try patching from 2529 now.

Failed to connect means that you need to run a tracert to patch.playragnarok.com.
