Heey, im a new player and i am leveling a monk now and i've seen many monk class players soloing TI's with autocasting. Can you guys tell me how do they do it and what are the basic equips for that? And also how does it proceed to end game, does it goes well in mid to late TI's? Thaaaanks!,  :D

They do it with reflect damage to count as outgoing hits/attacks, and then equip gears they own that say "when dealing damage, auto cast XYZ spell".

That said, please do not level this way.

It is an anti-social leveling method that is slow, cumbersome, lags the server, holds spawns and slows the leveling of other players, and is highly likely to be kill stealed in action.

Make a friend or three and join a party! Most classes can kill 2-3x faster than an autoreflect setup can.

While i do respect your opinion and your helpful posts in the ragnarok forums i do have to disagree with you on this one, well not that much of a disagreement as it is that i dont really think its your place to tell a player how/where to lvl,as far as i know you dont pay for his sub nor do you own his accounts...

He is in his right to level as he wishes, not everyone plays mmos the same way, maybe he enjoys leveling with a autoreflect setup,to be honest ive been thinking of getting an Ifrit Mask and giving it a try, looks like fun.

And again if i do so it is my prerogative to do as i please since IM the one playing MY account and no one else.

P.S:The comment that autoreflect leveling lags the server is just preposterous,if the server cant handle some mobbing then it has no bussiness in the mmo industry to begin with.

I didn't tell him how to level. I asked him nicely not to. I have every right to.

Conversely, you have no right to tell me not to ask people nicely not to do things.

Your whole argument could even be used to justify kill stealing or griefing other players. "So what if it harms everyone around me! Its my right to level how I want! I do as I please since IM the one playing MY account and no one else.". That is preposterous.

Lok up the word "preposterous". It means it is unfathomable, impossible, and ridiculous to consider. Guess what? if that is your opinion, you are wrong, because its a proven fact reflect damage + auto-cast gear lags the server. It is so bad that it can disconnect all players on the map if royal guard used the older version of the reflect damage skill that didn't have a limited number of outbound hits. In fact, so do other things in low TI, such as homunculus AI. The servers are poorly designed. I thought that was common knowledge by now that the game was coded badly?

Do not dare to put me in the same group as people who justify kill stealing or griefing!!

"because its a proven fact reflect damage + auto-cast gear lags the server"

By who? Is there a post or declaration by a GM that you could show me? If you do and it checks out ill shut up but apart from that you were asking someone "nicely" to not play the way he wanted even if that way doesnt break any known rule...

Or maybe i missed something, kinda weird that the game designers would implement skills/items that would be "bad" for the server,if its their fault then its their job to make it right by either fixing the issue with the servers or by removing the items all together but until then the OP,me and everyone else is free to play whichever way we want.

Try some forum searches or google. I am not your personal research assistant.

Back in 2010 or so when Reflect Damage was new, people would mob Magma Dungeon 2 (nogg road) with Royal Guards. With RoFL and such equipped, reflect damage reflecting multiple times on every mob, the server would lag horribly and even disconnect people.

It was so bad on jRO they disabled reflect damage skill.

kRO fixed it by limiting the number of hits Reflect Damage could do before it canceled itself.

One person reflecting. Not so bad. Half a dozen people doing it with 20 homuns also on the map? Map lags to a halt and GMs have to dedicate a server to it. You hadn't noticed when there weren't many homun or reflect levels in low TI it didn't lag? Seriously?

I swear it is so annoying when people doubt and question my experience on a daily basis and I have to justify myself at all. How about you just respect people who have been playing since 2001 and have 7000+ forum posts? Criminey.

Never mind all the other negative aspects of reflect leveling I mentioned such as one (1) person holding 10 or so monsters for 10-20 seconds when a party of twelve (12) kills the same number of monsters in < 2 seconds. Multiply this by 5-10 players reflect leveling on the map and those parties of 12 are sitting around unable to find monsters. Twelve people impaired leveling speed so one self-centered player can have anti-social, slow leveling method. It happens a lot in low TI where reflect leveling is most prominent. This is plenty of reason to caution or ask a player nicely not to choose this leveling method.

Aside from completing the turn in 2-3x slower than others and getting less EXP in the same hour, you are likely to be kill stealed a lot, which is frustrating. It is also plenty of reason to caution someone against the idea.

I don't understand your point, or what you are trying to persuade otherwise, other than this type of attitude:

Oh sorry your highness your post count and being a veteran obliges me to bow to you kind sir..../sarcasm off

I had a long rant written but you are not really worth the effort, met a lot of posters like you in the past in all the mmos i have played,so full of themselves because they think that a high post count and a lot of years playing the games makes them something "special"...go ahead keep at it in your little unicorn filled universe....

Adios.

P.S:A South Park video? Yeah how original my first character assessment is confirmed...Not going to bother to post here in this topic anymore,so go ahead and give orders to everyone so they can fit in your little box of how to play...

Chill guys, i just want to know how does the reflect + autocast works, honestly i dont know how to to proceed with the build. In my case i'm thinking to do the autocast + reflect when it's hard to find party, because not all the time low level TI is full of people.

honestly if you're a new player and not willing to spend actual cash, the majority of these autocast gears are out of your price range anyway.

Your entire involvement in this thread can be summed up as an intagible desire to blow back my opinions. It seems the main motivation may be jealous stemming from being intimidated by my knowledge or experience (implied very heavily with the "your highness" comments). Usually such antogonism is deeply rooted in jealousy. As a self serving method of raising oneself, trying to lower perceived betters.

Kicking and screaming like a a toddler without any valid argument does not accomplish this. Be wary of that.

It's perfectly fine to try getting your counts by reflect+autocast leveling. As Monk though you might be too slow killing stuff, as Champion you're able to use at least Ifrit Rings which help with killing.

What you need:

high ATK weapon

stuff to stay alive (shield, garment, potions, Vit, ...)

reflect gear (Filir Hat/Sheep Hat/...)

decent auto casted ATK spells

Ifrit Rings (not available for non-trans)

or

high Int

high mATK weapon

stuff to stay alive (shield, garment, potions, Vit, ...)

reflect gear (Filir Hat/Sheep Hat/...)

autocast gear for strong magic (pretty good but out of your range: Dark Lord Card [MvP] + Dark Illusion Card)

Ifrit Rings (not available for non-trans)

I don't really think it's a cheap way to play a semi-efficient autocast Monk/Sura, but it can be fun - just not close to the fun playing a Reflect RG in the past.

Here are some more ways you could choose from:

- Agi-Dex-Str Monk

- Vit-Agi-Dex Monk with snap (mobbing for others)

- Vit-Agi-Dex Mental Strength Monk (slow, but not too bad if you use Perfect Dodge gear)

- create a second account, make a Priestess, join TI parties and dual client your Monk

If you play an autocast Monk, expect others to KS you because they blame you for all the bad stuff that happens on server and society - it happens to people not playing by the majority's rules. Other than that you could take a look at the threads here and see if you develop new ideas for yourself.

Unless you have dark lord carded shoes you are just going to annoy the crap out of people and they're going to kill steal you like crazy. You're welcome to report the whole server since what you'd be doing isn't technically illegal just incredibly annoying but odds are it'll just take you forever to level.

Now if you do have dark lord boots, scaraba is pretty ridiculous and easy.

Ifrit Mask is ok from 80 to 105 or so but there aren't really good natural spawn maps for this. So it really depends on the low TI or spotlights for boosted spawn.

But even then, it's pretty slow, hard to find BIG mobs to trigger the proc, and you get hitlocked a lot and can't mob big unless you have eddgas.

Don't invest too much into it and keep in mind you'll need to invest in another build as a Sura.

you can do it with these items... CD in mouth, weapon with haiti bebe, bloody knight, mutant dragonoid cards, kasa carded garment, loli ruri carded armor, filir or sheep hat OR a high orc carded shield, Advanced Ring of Flame Lord and Advanced Ring of Resonance (which can be used by 2nd class characters over level 85)... pop on mental strength and get a good mob going... pot as needed...
