Not sure if this was intentional, However, the other day I was kinda getting a little annoyed when someone was (Well what I thought was) ignoring me. It turns out, They weren't. It was because my message wouldn't get displayed.

 

I was asking a friend to "Come onto the other TeamSpeak" (in a manner of speaking) and it turns out, the word "come" doesn't display and is kinda filtered out.

 

So is Wow. what other words are there that are filtered I wonder..

@Izzy, as far as I know any word or string that has Com, Org, www without any break or say some punctuation. It filters out in public chat. 

Wow ? maybe the GM's don't like World of Warcraft :3 . 

But a GM's reply would be appreciated with a list of all the words that will be filtered. I would say the list is must.
It works only in public chat only. So, maybe pm anyone after two times when they are not replying.

Also, you know how I type half of the words without vowels, making words shorter right ?. That helps me a lot too in this issue.

Yes, but it's hard for me to do that. It just doesn't sit right in my brain to make things shorter like that. In-fact, It takes me longer to type "nvrmnd" than it does Never-mind just as an example..

I noticed this a while ago. Currently the nospam.cfg everyone has blocks out the word "com." I had to go in and manually remove all instances of it which fixed the problem.

back to the question. All I'd have to do is delete the "com" out of there, and then my message will get through? Or does the person having to SEE my message (General chat) have to have that deleted to see it.

They're filtering you. You're not filtering yourself. However, if you don't want to happen to yourself, remove all of the "com"s, even these:

No its meant to filter out the event messages, if you don't want to participate and find "X yells Y" annoying you can add their name to that list.

I guess I should also mention a new update to nospam will be coming out soon when they are done testing it internally and my beta testers give me the feed back I like, it will handle the PM spamming that has been going on but for now it'll still be based on this nospam.cfg file...The newer version after that will not rely so heavily on a user defined config file and will also have hopefully an interface GUI to make it easier.

...I see. Would have been nice to be able to block the WoE and newbie messages at least. I've grown so used to messages always popping up that I've been ignoring all of the messages, like the one announcing Enriched Hammer, the seals and other useful info.

I'd have to ask about the WoE message blocking, they might not like that.

Also to get back to that posted nospam.cfg file. It blocked that message you typed because it saw "come" multiple times.

"Come onto the other TeamSpeak" -> "comeontotheotherteamspeak"

Then...

First it saw "com" rated at 2
Second it saw "c'om" which became "com" again rated 2

2 + 2 = 4 and blockSpamThreshHold = 3, so 4 > 3, the message gets blocked by the receiver.

I'm not sure why they wouldn't like the blocking of WoE messages. There is already an option in-game to block the Wednesday WoE, but it doesn't do squat against the Saturday ones.

Ultimately its their property so what they say goes
