Old news. It all started when they went FailBook anyway.
There was no other way to cater for that kind of "I want all of it, NOW" mentality "crybabies" who think it is their very own entitlement to have it all spoon fed, and for free too! And thus, the +100-200-300-500% exp / lant / drops "events" started, the sky is the limit. You can add to that the +60-65% froges, bah, why even stop there? One day we will see some "special" "event" for 100%, why not.
Personally, I can not think of any greater insult to all the old (and not so old) players who had it the "hard way", and had to grind exp, levels, gear and all for months and years, and on top of that, spent some good coin too (at least some). Maybe we were the idiots and the fools, but we accepted that was how it was, a classic Korean grind fest with added pay-to-win flavour, but it was ReQQ and we loved it.
Perhaps, some will remember the endless pursuit of exp and levels, the daily grind in places like AT, WS, then JS and such, when a +50% exp event was a true god send and happened maybe once or twice a year. When quests were few and precious and would hardly cover a fraction of each level...
Yet, we had fun (mostly) and were in for the long trip and not "instant gratification". Times change I guess, but there are always different kinds of people and target groups out there, and the "long-term MMORPG player" is a unique breed, the real ones, who hardly ever start a game and plan to advance through it expecting to do so in a week's time and achieving end game or "god mode" just with free handouts.
There has been a long series of mishaps and flawed decisions in ReQQ's history, but going FB was probably the worst after the introduction of the "+30 8/8" system (heavily cash dependent), and the one that "attracted" the wrong crowd for the wrong reasons, in favour of the declining "classic" client player base.
