Playing a monk and cannot decide how to build the skill.

After reading through wiki and try in the simulator, I don't know how many skill to be invested in each skill and which is easier to play solo.

My questions are

1. G.Fist should play lv5 or not or else. Does G.fist is necessary to play? Play it with combo or individually? Or may be Root skill is better to with G.Fist?

2. The combo skills have maximum of 20 skill points investment. Do they have to max out if leveling solo without G.Fist OR it should not max them out but harvest the skill points to G.Fist instead for complete the only Monk combo?

3. Fury skill should be max out or not? It is worth to have the skill without G.fist?

4. Is Monk useless in TI, if hey do not have Mental Strength skill? If it have to have, should be max or not?

5. Snap skill.... may be ask later after I rebirth. Any suggestion?

My current build is Agi-autocast build and maybe change after rebirth.

Thanks in advance.

Having Mental Strength will help you a LOT doing TIs, even if your build is agi type, u can just put points into MS and the combos if you want to level solo this way. Having Snap and MS while monk will use all your points, so u can leave it to when u rebirth. also fury is not needed if ur not going to snap/gfist, it does give crits, yeah it helps, but not all that much.

as a monk you have free skill resets anyway so you can experiment with whatever skill build you wish.  Since you just want to get to 99 and trans asap, you should probably go combo/agi for when you're out in the world.  in TIs, you will need MS since monks and even champs don't really have AoE killing abilities and you're melee.  As such your role will primarily be to pull mobs to the group.  Suggest you get a reflect equipment of some type (high orc carded shield, sheep hat, etc) so that the monsters do not switch aggro instantly onto your party killers.

#1 gfist not needed as monk (unless you are getting snap, though most beginner monks just use mental strength), but get level 5 when you turn champ > shura

root 5 > gfist is a standard vs melee classes (careful does not work vs boss monsters and bellum weapons that drain hp/sp); once you turn shura, cursed circle essentially takes its place, but root is still great in some situations (protect from RK crushing strike) so get it maxed as champ

combo is the only way to instant cast gfist (though it seems to have an extremely tiny cast bar still) w/out bellum claw which is for pvp/woe areas only anyways; more of a for fun combo since you still rely on raging trifecta proc chance to actually start it

#2 just max out the combo skills for monk (keep trifecta at lvl 5 though); max bless, agi, heal, and mental strength; get spirit sphere absorption; no need to worry about other skills really, until you transcend

#3 no need for fury if not getting gfist/snap as a monk; but max it as a champ to get zen

#4 you can just max MS as monk (and as champ/shura too, due to spare points); it's how the monk classes usually get in TI parties; snap is great for pulling if you can afford to/party can handle the killing

#5 get it after rebirth; the best fast-movement skill in game

pre-shura champion skills

i suggest taking a look at some of the other posts here in the acolyte forums, you might have some other questions/ideas that might have been already clarified there (stats/gear/etc)
