So i used to play this game before and quit right after the renewal for 3rd jobs, Im pretty sure alot of changes was made this part few years but i decided to start again with my old account. I dont have anything left on my account, No zeny, No weapons, No armors. i also lost my build notes so i do not have any guide on how to start again.

 

Could anyone please give me a guide or tips on how i should start again? and what best gears i could use for my build?

 

This is my current stats and skill tree. I think i was a rapid smite paladin before.

I wish I could help you bro but when I was a paladin, I never leveled with RS. I was agi-spear paladin. I only know that cross shield is good for RS. I dont know about the stat either

When you are trying to get a party in TI, since you are a paladin, most people will expect you to have Sacrifice. Sad truth is, you will need at least 13 job level to unlock all per-requisite skills (Holy cross level 6 and Grand cross level 4, 3 more on Shield reflect), before you can start learning Sacrifice. If you decide to come this path, you will need to raise your VIT and then you will level your RG as a sacrifice'r in TI party.

You will probably have a hard time to level to a RG right now since the best way to do TI but you dont have Sacrifice. It will be hard for you to get a party.

You can try to solo your way to become a RG too but my knowledge is very limited as I leveled my paladin with Lance only and meele-poked until I reached 99/70 as a paladin (I didnt know about TI back then lol). One thing I know is that you need a Cross shield if you wanna continue soloing with your RS.

what's stopping him from using the free skill reset to get sacrifice?

 

i'd pump vit though as you level up to increase your survivability.

2 years ago, i used turn in events such as killing alligator and ice titans. I really dont want to give up on RS paladin but i guess i have no other option. I am completely unfamiliar with sacrifice royal guard so i might have to do a bit of research before i could move forward. I'll be alot harder since i do not have any armor and weapon nor money to use.

You'll want to read up on some general information first. There are a few RG guides stickied on these forums, and there is a wiki page too.

Rapid Smite is okay as paladin but MAKE SURE you reset your skills while you are still 99 to get rid of it (since skill resets are infinitely free for 99 and under). Generally you will just be using Overbrand and Vanishing Point as RG. Also, leveling at the higher levels REQUIRES AOE since single target EXP will be way too slow. TI parties will generally have Rangers and other killers using AOEs, and RGs are usually tanking or sacrificing the squishies.
