Greetings.
I was asked to create something like this, which I also think will be beneficial.
For now, to keep it quick as I have to go, just post the questions you have relation to Super Novices. If it's gear specific, please see the other thread.
Apart from that, ask away and when I can, I will, or others will answer it and post the Question + Answer in this OP for everyone to see.
Questions which are in black are yet to be answered. Those in red have been answered.
Thank you!
Why play a Super Novice?
ANSWER:
Is it hard playing and preparing a Super Novice?
ANSWER:
How do you, or Super Novice in general, tank?
ANSWER:
Damage reducs of specific types are a bonus, such as Thara Frog (Cranial for Demi-human) or Khalitzburg (Demon) etc. And even stat foods.
Having AGI is important with the addition of Perfect Dodge - SNs can get the skill Improve Dodge, which at 10 gives +30 Flee. Improve Concentration which increases DEX and AGI.
And then you have Frost Nova - which allows you to immobile the mobs allowing you the time to heal your self - in this case with Pots, or a Support Class friend/party member.
Additionally, Quagmire also helps to slow down the mobs - decreased movement speed by 50% and their AGI & DEX by 50% also.
The Secret: Finally, is the SNs special, which only applies to when you are 99 or 150 and have gained at least 99m EXP, you can enter Mental Strength upon 0 HP. Allowing you to tank MVPs just like a Sura.
Personal Note: With my SN, I wasn't limited to tanking just mobs, but also MVPs and have solo'd a few, with the help of Frost Nova to keep the mob at ease, I was able to attack the MVP directly, however, it's always ideal to leave 1 monster free in case you get Stone Cursed/Sleep etc. I've also tanked MVPs, to a certain degree; Ifrit, Beelzebub and with the help of an AB, Atroce and Valkyrie. (Valk is dangerous)
How do you MVP with a Super Novice?
ANSWER:
Joke. It's not that simple. Or is it?
There's 2 things, Tanking an MVP and Killing an MVP.
Tanking is relatively easy. Despite the lack of HP, I can still get it over 15,000. Which to be honest, is not adequate for a class that has ~90 Vit. It's pretty damn low, however, the high flee and reducs makes up for it. I also rely heavily on Mental Strength to stay alive beyond the limits of what a Super Novice can handle, but before I do I try to put up a pretty damn good fight by staying alive without entering Auto-MS Mode (Upon 0 HP, with 99m+ EXP at 150). The use of an Alice shield helps, in which case you can use a over upgrade, +7-9 Alice Novice Shield - Reduces damage received from all elements except [Neutral] by 20%.
Using Frost Nova and Quagmire to keep the mob spawns on hold increases chance of survival with the addition of Bless 10 and AGI 10. You can even go for using Safety Wall to make things easier, however, I don't use that. I just go in Rambo style, hands on. Naw'meen? And just use Slims really.
When it comes to killing, something like Orc Hero is relatively easy. Just make sure you use HP Large Increase Pots, Converters and Eleusmental Proofs if needed. And lastly, buff your self up and Improve Concentration, Awake, Celermine and then.... rely on the awesomeness of Mammonite partnered with high ASPD.
That's all in a nutshell.
Ideally, a Brynhild helps a lot. If you can't get access to one, Succubus and Incubus combo helps a lot As for Accessories - Go for RWC Rings, enchanted with max of whatever it is you desire. Sharp is ideal and if you want, some HP.
Which card is recommend for a +9 Ascendant Crown [1]?
ANSWER:
It all depends on what you are looking for or want more than others.
The Dark Illusion + Dark Lord combo is exceptionally good for the extra +20% HP and SP. The reduce cast time is pointless for melee that relies on ASPD, but will be even more good for support and caster builds. Not saying it's not good for Melee builds, it's awesome - but remember, Dark Illusion can go into a Black Frame Glasses [1] or Sunglasses [1] or any other slotted Mid. Likewise for Succubus and Incubus combo Which leaves room for the Ascendant Crown.
So keep this in mind and remember, the Ascendant Crown is Super Novice only. So if you plan to put an MVP or Mini Boss card into it, think twice!
Now as for the cards,
**Melee Only**
Seyren Windsor Card - Each upgrade on the headgear gives Str +1. With -6 STR. - So at +9 headgear you will get +3 STR, or +6STR if it's +12.
If you won't upgrade it past +9, I personally would go for:
Vanberk Card - Adds a 0.5% chance for when dealing physical damage, the user will gain Crit +100 for 5 seconds. +2 STR.
Dropping 1 STR to have that small chance for Crit+100 doesn't seem too bad!
**Caster & Support Only**
High Wizard (MVP)- Ignores MDEF of normal monsters. Slows your casting time by 2x. Reduces SP regeneration rate by 100%.
Drain 2000 SP as the headgear is unequipped.
Isilla - INT + 2, Reduce Casting Time by 50% for 5 seconds when performing a Magical attack. FLEE Rate + 30
Kathryne Keyron - Reduce Casting Time by 1% per Refine Level of the equipment this card is compunded on.
[Refine Rate 9~10] MATK + 2%
Kiel-D-01 (MVP) - Reduces all skill's after-cast delay by 30%.
Vesper (MVP) - Every time you do a Magical attack, it ignores 30% of Boss-type monster's MDEF, and does damage accordingly.
DEX + 2
**Caster, Support & Melee**
Dark Illusion Card - Reduces the variable cast time of skills by 10%. BUT also -10% Max HP/SP
Dark Lord (MVP) - Adds a 10% chance of using [Meteor Storm] Lv 5 on the attacker when physically attacked.
Combo - Max HP +20% and Max SP +20%. Reduces the variable cast time of skills by 10%.
Incubus Card - INT-3, Max SP+150, SP Regen-20%
Succubus Card (Armor)- VIT-3, Max HP+1000, HP Regen-20%
Combo - Vit +4 Int +4 HP Regen +30% SP Regen +30%
Carat Card - INT+2. If upgraded to +9 or higher, SP+150 - I say this is good for any SN build due to the stupid nature of LOW SP.
Pharaoh Card - Reduce SP Consumption of skills by 30%. - Good card for all Builds... We do have low SP as it is!!
Evil Snake Lord - Never be affected by Blind and Curse effects.
INT + 3
There are damage reduc cards or immunity against status effects, which are not really ideal, unless you have a crown for each type.
Giearth Card - Gain immunity to the Confusion status.Increase resistance to Earth Property attacks by 15%.
Marduk Card - Gain immunity to Silence status.
Nightmare Card - Gain immunity to the Sleep status.AGI + 1
Orc Hero Card - Gain immunity to the Stun status.. VIT + 3
Ungoliant Card - Gain immunity to the External Bleeding status. HP Recovery + 10%
Or Gemini-S58 Card -
[Base Agility >= 90]Add a 30% resistance against Silence and Stun.
[Base Vitality >= 80]Add a 50% resistance against Stone Curse and Sleep.
Which shoes and which cards do you recommend? (General)
ANSWER:
After having another look, the Eden Boots IV are good for recovering HP and SP. So it might be a good idea to invest in them too.
As for main shoes, other than the awesome Sleipnir (slur), it's between Advanced Angel's Reincarnation and Novice Shoes.
Novice Shoe's are only good if your base HP is over 9,000 10,000, so you can get more than 500 HP from it.
At 150, with Faith 10, the bonus 4,000 HP and No Death Bonus, you end up with 8,934 HP.
With 90 Vit, this will put you at around 11,500 HP, with Novice Shoes giving +575~ HP.
Well, screw the extra +75hp and go for Advanced Angels Reincarnation which gives +500 HP AND +100 SP!
I personally don't have +9 Advanced AR, but just regular AR and Novice Shoes from 3 years ago. Hahaha.
So yeah, the chosen shoes - Advanced Angel's Reincarnation [1]
The following are potential cards:
Under Level 99 - With use on Regular Angel's Reincarnation
Alarm - Adds a 20% chance of using [Sight] Lv 1 when physically attacked. VIT+2, HP+300
Freezer - HP+300
At 99 and above:
Melee - Firelock Soldier - STR+2, If shoes are +9, Max HP +10%, Max SP +10%
Matyr - AGI+1, Max HP+10%
Any Build - Gold Acidus - Max HP+4%, Max SP+4%. If footgear is +4 or less, Additional +4% HP and SP, +5% HP&SP Regen.
Verit - Max HP+8%, Max SP+8%
Support/Caster - Sohee - Max SP+15%, SP Regen+3%
BEST CARD - Boss Egnigem - Max HP+10%, Max SP+10%, Restores 50 HP and 10 SP to the user every 10 seconds.
Ofcourse the ideal card is Boss Egnigem. But aside from that, Ideally go if you can't or don't want to upgrade pass +4, use Gold Acidus. If you can't get up to +9, then use Verit
. And it goes without saying, aim for +9 and use Firelock . Personally, you can use Firelock for any build, as you get +2% Max HP/SP.
Summary:
99: +0-7 Seeker's Angel's Reincarnation.
99+, +9 Superior Advanced Angel's Reincarnation
What accessories do you recommend?
ANSWER:
Super Novice [ENDGAME] Build - MELEE (ASPD)
ANSWER:
This is an effective Melee build utilising high ASPD and Flee. Good for mobbing and killing.
Stats:
- STR: ~100
- AGI: 100-110
- VIT: 40-90
- INT: 1~30
- DEX: 40~60
- LUK: 77
In respective order as above: - 100 | 100 | 90 | 1-14 | 65-68 | 77 - This is an all around balanced build. You can add/minus the Dex and Luk to suit you best.
The Luck 77 is to be able to use Arc Angeling.
It's standard to have Faith Lv10. Buff skills include Improve Concentration Lv10, Improve Dodge Lv10, Blessing Lv10, Increase Agi Lv10. With Frost Nova Lv10, Quagmire 3-5 and the main offensive skill, Lv10 Mammonite. (1,000z per cast at Lv10). This skill is ASPD dependent with no cast delay or cool down - thus it's spammable, achieving very high DPS.
What's needed to achieve Max ASPD:
- Awakening Potion
- Celermine Juice (ASPD +10%) - Yes, this Stacks with the Awake pot.
-Improve Concentration Lv10
-Must have Death Count reset for the +10 all stats.
-Job 50 for stat bonuses
-Increase AGI Lv10
If VIP, the +7 All stats help a lot too (Can maybe replace the Death Count Bonus)
And with the following gears, you can easily achieve 192-193 APSD - Alone. Yes, with your own skills and items!
Headgears:
Upper: +9 Ascendant Crown
Lower:99 Balloons for All Stats+1
Weapon:
+9 Glorious Morning Star - ATK+130. ASPD+10%, 20% of inflicting Stun upon melee. (some of the bonuses)
Garment
+9 Heroic Backpack - Any, Deviling, Immune or Extra High Level (Raydric or Orc Baby),
Accessories:
Bakonawa Tattoo x2 - ATK+7% and ASPD+10% thus making it ATK+14% & ASPD+20%.
Up to this point you can, without VIP Buffs get 193 ASPD. This set up has been testing with 110 AGI, no VIP buffs and only Crown, Weapon, HBP and 2x Tattoos.
According to a stat calculator, it should work even with 100 AGI and with the adition of 99 Balloons.
Mid: Pegasus Ear Wing ASPD+3% or Black Devil Mask for +2 All Stats - Or BFG with AA/Incubus etc.
Armor:
Angelic Protection VIT+3/STR+3 With Apocalypse - VIT+2 and +800MaxHP. (More HP, the more better)
- Or Even better, Brynhild.
Shield:
None - in order to obtain Maximum ASPD.
Shoes:
+9 Advanced Angel's Reincarnation or Novice Shoes (+5% HP) with Firelock Soldier (Superior)
This build and set up will guarantee to give you 193 (Max) ASPD. The Armor and Shoes can be of your liking. I go for more HP. If you want more agi, for Shoes you can:
+9-12 Advanced Angel's Reincarnation or Novice Shoes (+5% HP) with Odium of Thanatos Card - AGI -5 but Each upgrade made to the footgear gives Agi +1.
So this will give +4-7 AGI depending on it's refine.
And armor:
Angelic Protection AGI+3 - Ancient Mimic Card - For every 18 Luk, gives +1 AGI. Thus 72 Luk= +4 AGI
ADDITIONAL NOTE:
It might be possible with the help of Andrenaline Rush - Full and AGI+20 Food, to get 193 ASPD with a RWC Memory Knife. Or just 192 with only AR.
Hope that helps!
