Just turned FS AB and now lv100. I will always party with a lv100 Royal Guard and Ranger in the game.

I have a budget of 100M. Could anyone give me some suggestions on the gears for PvM leveling? (May hunt MVP at higher level)

I am currently wearing the job change hat, variant shoes and a puente robe, green apple ring and spiritual ring and all others are Eden group stuff.

Thank you. :p_laugh: :p_smile: :p_smile:

PS. I have read the pinned AB post and the following two

http://forums.warppo...-for-fs-priest/

http://forums.warppo...-general-pveti/

Bust many of the suggested items are really expensive. Any suggestions on which one is the most important and I need to get it at the first place? Thank you.

Highest priority in my opinion:

1) Orleans gown. You need this so your skills don't get interrupted when being attacked. This is better than using a phen usually, but there are many situations later on where you need a phen too. Later on you will get several of these for different element cards like Fire, Wind, Water.

2) Different shields for different races. Helps survivability quite a bit.

3) Go for a better garment. Vali's Manteau is better than the Eden one. Valk Manteau with Raydric Card is pretty nice for AB too.

4) Ungoliant Card or something to help you with bleeding. This is usually an AB's worst enemy for keeping SP up. Other alternatives include getting high AGI, keeping a really good supply of Cure Frees.

5) For 110+, get a Light of Cure accessory with Cure Lvl 1 enchant. This lets you spam High Heal.

If you can't afford a wide range of racial shields you can use a platinum shield, 15% resist vs large and mid size (and +10% extra vs undead) and high chance of reflecting magic attacks.

As for armors, since you don't have a lot of money I'd get an affection robe since that's basically a cheap angeling card, till you can get a proper set of elemental armors.

I have a phen card by doing the overlook quest. But I didn't used it cuz no idea where to put it.
Interruption is currently not a big deal to me as I always keep KE on me. I will go and check the items you recommended. THx!

if it were me i would get morpheus ring and bracelet
that's 10% more sp which is very good at that stage.
you can try an orleans for the phen effect.

i would get the platinum shield and vali's manteau
and probably a chibi pope + blush(if its cheap)

Thank you all. I'm thinking to get the platinum shield, which seems very useful. Just got a Diabolus robe and now run out of budget.
Vali's manteu, sure to get one.
For head gears, Bcrown is too expensive, ygg crown is currently 10M and I want to wait for price to drop.
Chibi pope need a +7 to get a good healing bonus, right? Anyway, need to farm zeny for all these possibilities.
And have no idea for weapons.

Thank you again for the suggestions. I will try to get some element cards.

What weapon are you using now? I could grab you a Wand of Affection from Mora. Compare it to your current weapon, if it's better drop me a pm so we can meet. :P

Do you use your phen now? If not, a clip would work and you can equip it on your other characters. Chibi pope will work with the nonslotted version of the Blush but yeah, for higher heal % you need to upgrade it. If you're tanking mobs often (ex. you play with a friend who is squishy and you're the one pulling/tanking them), a ygg crown would be a better choice for the increased self heal (carry some pots with for backup always tho).

As for cards, if you can, grab a khali (vs demon), thara frog (vs human), teddy bear (vs undead) and penomena (vs formless). Those four are the most common monster races you'll encounter. If you're doing TIs, check the monster race and if they're of different races, equip resists for the more damaging enemy.

Great thanks! I am using the Eden Group Staff IV now. :heh:  Guess Wand of Affection is better? Thank you very much and when can I pm you? I am usually online after 7pm PST or weekends. :p_laugh:

I simply worry if I put phen with a clip, then I have to wear it in late game instead of better rings. (worrying too much? :p_smile:

Ugh, 7 pm PST is way too late, I need my beauty sleep. :3

How does between noon and 3 pm PST on Saturday or Sunday sound? I'll most probably be on at those times. IGNs are in the sig.

You'll make enough money on your way to 150 to replace the clip.

If you're that worried, you could do the Frede's Request quest for a Bradium Earring. It's a lengthy questline to get there, but well worth it, may be a little hard for lvl 100 people tho. Your endgame goal will probably be a Diabolus Ring. I'd use the clip if I needed a phen right now. If you're doing fine without it so far, you could wait till you get a better accessory. And the higher your level the easier it'll be to make money (you hunt monsters which drop more valuable loots, MVPing etc). At least you can cover your expenses with Reset stones, ABs have it easy in that regard if you do TIs. inb4 Zero spanks me. :>

I will pm you the Oniichan yamete one around noon tmr then. :p_smile:  My name is *  in the game.

Diabolus Ring... so expensive that no one is selling at lower than 100M.  That will be my ultimate goal then. :pif:

Currently the Platinum Shield is around 10M and few people selling it.

How about I try to make more money and buy a Valkirya's shield instead? Can it be my end game shield?

Thanks for advice above and I got my Vali's Manteau in midTI. Also thank OniichanN for giving a wand. :p_hi:

I use my ogretooth carded valk shield the most, perfect vs all mid size mobs. Good all around shield.

Orleans gown should serve you well for now if you're too worried about phen (ideally you'd want to put it inside your Diabolus Ring later). As for weapon, if you are doing a lot of TIs, you may want to save those merit badges for a Glorious Cure Wand.

And Valk Shield is an amazing shield. You should get it. Better yet, put in different cards for different races/sizes. But yeah, endgame goal. :3

Doesn't mora set make you less defense? Many people at the forum seem to not recommend the full set :questionmark:

It's good if you're still sporting nothing but eden gear on your AB. The angeling effect on the robe is nice. But other than that you have better gear options and the garment slot you lose is bad.

angeling means sp recovery? I don't need that as my sp is always full for my three-ppl party.

Current lv108:

head:Mitra

armor: Diabolus.robe

weapon: +4 Wand of affection

shield:Guard[1] (trying to buy valk shield as platinum shield is also not cheap)

garment:Vali's Manteau

accessory: spiritual ring, green apple ring(trying to buy Light of cure with cure Lv1 to better heal my RG friend, but also considering a phen clip)

no funding now so need to invest wisely :pif:

You're thinking Arc Angeling, the affection robe gives you the holy property/element (Angeling card).

Variant shoes would be a good investment, more HP and SP is never bad. :P

If you are fine having no technically neutral defense against monsters in a pvm environment then the poor mans suggestion of Mora Affection set for healing isnt too bad. Healing gears in general in this game always seem to offer you nothing in defense anyways comparitively speaking..........and in a normal party situation (nonboss monsters or miniboss monsters) an AB geared incorrectly can still be a small damage sponge in a mobbed situation, only when it comes to MVP'ing do you really need to think about high end defensive gears........and since your always partying an RG and Ranger I kinda can see some leeway for you if you decide to use a Mora Affections set before you afford the super expensive high end healing gears or grab hold of a Glorious Cure Wand. Recovery Lights I find are situational usage only.

I think it's better to get some defense cuz I am being hit quite often.

I'm feeling tired when I have to heal, cure, buff and tank all the way during TI. And my two friends still blame me not doing perfect job and let them die. :sob:

Btw, why neutral defense important? As from wiki, isn't normal attack from mobs non-element attack?
