Biggest note to start off the maintenance.

 

Dead Branches, Poring Boxes, Amulets, Hocus Pocus, Polymorph, and Bloody Dead Branches are being disabled if they weren't already on Prontera Field 8 (South Prontera Field). In April we attempted to relax the restrictions of these items. Unfortunately certain users are going around purposefully killing other users. Due to this ill mannered abuse they will be disabled.

 

Internal Discussion Raged: Update

Players under level 20 will have access to a save version of South Prontera. Dead Branches, Poring Boxes, Amulets, Hocus Pocus, Polymorph, and Bloody Dead Branches will be disabled on this safe version of the map. 

 

For regular South Prontera field a 5 second cool down on Dead Branchs will be applied. This is to give other users a chance to escape before they have 200 dead branched Yoyos dropped on top of them.

Ah, no more DBs in S. Pront. In other words, S. Pront will once again become a ghost town, and one of the reasons people even still bother to log in (screwing around in S. Pront) will be removed.

If there's going to be a timer on dead branches why can't it be just 1 second? Count 1 mississippi in your head... that's a decent amount of time to run away... 5 seconds seems way too long.

So how will the access to safe version map works? Does the server recognize player under level 20 itself and automatically teleport them to there?

This is awesome!

I started playing a month ago and was sooooo frustating getting killed by an overpowered monster when I went out of Izlude to complete the tutorial.

Wanted to quit the game at times.

I remember when I played the game many years ago, didn't get very far, just 1st job, but I remember the tutorial was in other place, and there was safe to learn without the high level players creating strong monsters near!

 

This change didn't get in time for me, but maybe other new players would be safe now

if ur going that route can u put back bb and amulets on south pront since the new people will be in a new south pront map
