Hello o/ I've been trying classic out recently and i decided to start with a monk since i aspire to mvp later on, right now im building my monk to be a combo one since it sounded like fun and i'd like to know if claws are viable in classic or maces are still the way to go like in renewal.I'm still not very familiarized with the server so any other tips on building a monk over there will be appreciated ^_^.

for champs in classic, i personally went with the standard OI build (mainly using triple clamorous chain for turtle island leveling, double beholder boned chain for sleepers)

when i made a combo monk for fun (kinda stopped leveling it though), i just reused my maces (i did not really focus on apsd much since i don't have gears for that)

as said in jaffer's post, fists give nice aspd boost, but maces are great for maximizing combo damage (even better with endow)

if elemental fists are more affordable, you can always try them
