So hey guys,

Decided to check in on my rose account and to my horror EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED. I'm not too sure if its for the better or worse, but right now I'm having a HUGE headache on adopting all this new info.

Brief history, I played NA Rose on and off since it was launched back in 05 or so. So pretty much most of the stats have always remained the same, like Con or hit Int for muse and stuff. Back in the days when Gravity was on the helm before deebee stepped in and all his gang banging nonsense hahaha. Then came Rose Evo which is what we're on now.

So right now what i need is to actually have someone to lay it down on me, in the most layman term, what just happened and what changes have been made. I've looked at the guides and it just hurts my brain LMAO.

I have a "Full support" cleric with full T7's Nature Ring set, Full T7's Legendary Orlean set all [10] some [11] with the Orlean Backshield a Mummy face. I'm using a wand "Legendary Amazing Brush [10]" with T7 and off-hand "Orb of Abyss" [15]

I worked hard to get that stuff down so what I need to know i apart from the explanation about changes, is my gear now obsolete?

Didn't know about bind on equip, when i logged in i took off my hat and put it back on now its bound to me *doh*

Your gear isn't completely junk, charm is just 3x better than Int now. I don't know much about the armor and weapons Clerics use anymore but I would guess if you can get the current ones to have Charm they could be salvaged.

These two have the ability to be Unbound with a valor point cost for the Unbinder Coupon.

This one does not have a chance at being unlocked.

 

Skills were changed about a year ago *big update*

This changed how some skills worked and added a few new mechanics to the skill and fighting options. As a cleric you can now get a skill to increase the amount of hp you heal, some of the heals now have extra bonuses, such as a % bonus to healing, removing debuffs, and there is one that does an AoE heal that is not a party heal *can be used as one*

Union Wars

These were removed and replaced by Crystal Defenders, Draconis Peaks, and Akram Arena. I'm not 100% sure why big team battles like this were not readded but maybe later on there will be some.

Unions

Unions were combined into a new system called Honor which is the PvP side of the game. All this gear is now Locked to the character upon acquiring it, so don't buy gear for another character or you will be stuck with it on the one you don't want it on.

If you like quests they have added a few more, and extended the main quest to Eldeon.

Welcome back! I've only been on this server since May, but I've played classic Rose almost half of my life. I completely sympathize with your confusion but it does get better as you get into things more.  Just try not to be overwhelmed at the changes. 

 

The trade restrictions (bound and locked) were very recently implemented so everyone is still adjusting to that. It's pretty simple to remember tho- if an item is "bound" it can be unbound with a coupon from the valor shop. That coupon costs 100 valor. It an item is "locked" it can't be moved. It's really not so bad once you get used to it.

 

There are a lot of nice people here that will be able to help you figure out specific job class things. I can't offer much help myself since I'm still a noob but I do hope that you have fun playing again.
