Argh Matey Loading Screens!

It's almost September, and also "Talk Like a Pirate" week!! We will be selecting a few loading screens to put into the game in September, so be sure to take out your creative skills and wow us with your Pirate themed Ragnarok 2 pictures!!

 

Here are the rules:

 

-It has to follow the theme of Pirates.

-The size minimum is  1920x1080  . However, the bigger the better. When you post your image in the forum, it does not have to be this size. Do send Zanbee the original image file in a private message when you enter your submission. 

-File should be in DDS format. We will also accept PSD or JPG formats.

-The work has to be original and created entirely by the entrant. Modified in-game screenshots allowed. You may not re-use a contest entry.

-Has to be appropriate for all ages

-Entries will be accepted until August 31. 

-All entries will be posted into a Facebook album. 

-To enter, please submit your images into this thread, Steam Entry Thread or via a FB message.

-Event subject to change at anytime!

 

Prizes: 

There will be 4 winners to be determined by the Warpportal staff. 

Winners will get a Grand Pirate Costume Set (1 slot).

Participatory prize: Grand Pirate Hat (no slots) and ERPB.

I'm inclined to agree with crafter4epics. The no-bonus one is extremely common already and the Grand Pirate Costume's set effect also ends before the loading screen event (8/20) so it'll be another year before it gets some use out of it. Maybe something like Ocean Commander as the prize is more appropriate since I assume that's the next set to get a bonus? Either that or Drake Set like crafter4epics mentioned.

Well, the only new thing (or maybe I didn't notice it before) about the size requirement is "When you post your image in the forum, it does not have to be this size. Do send Zanbee the original image file"

The 1920x1080 requirement was there since the beginning. Which makes sense since it's better to downsize from there than to upscale.

IT HAS TO BE ORIGINALLY CREATED RIGHT? NOT SOME IMAGES THAT YOU JUST GOOGLED AND PLACE TOGETHER... Original Creativity may be in it but still the images are not originally made by the participant. so that means they dont count?

I will allow it this time. We usually separate the original art entries from the screenshot entries and make our decisions that way. I will consider the compilation images as part of the screenshots category. 

 

If you do plan to do such a compilation image, please state so in your entry so we know it is not 100% your own work.

Also reference thrown in at the end because it felt WRONG to make anything with pirates and not reference THAT!
