So after the nerf of flash combo, I read that we can't use skills or items during the combo.

I have few questions to clear some things up about that skill.

 

1) Does Flash Combo has Global after cast delay(meaning not being able to use other skill aswell during that time)?

 

2) Is that "no skill no item" thing also applied after the combo? (ie: during it's cooldown or for few seconds?)

 

3) Is it consuming HP/SP when it's casting Tiger Cannon?

we don't even have the new 3rd job skills here in iRO yet;

don't know whether the skills will arrive here already nerfed or there will be several months or more delay before the nerf patch arrives

 

1) flash combo has a 1 sec global delay; the combo sequence itself is actually longer than that (around 3~4)

so after the nerf, you can't use skills/items for 3~4 sec

 

2) this cooldown itself is separate from the global delay and skill animation so it should not be affected (unless the nerf specified including the cooldown time otherwise);

flash combo cooldown is 5 sec (so just 1~2 sec more after the combo itself finishes)

 

3) HP/SP is not consumed; lvl 5 only needs like 65 sp for the whole sequence

also, not sure about the following but, the flash combo TC AoE also seems to be centered on the player itself (as opposed to centered on the target when manually casting or comboing TC); so it seems flash combo uses the damage parameters of TC (including the 2x~ combo modifier) and simply adds the AoE damage as the combo is executed; it does not do an automatic version of the combo (which should consume HP/SP)

 

anyways, this would also mean no more combo instant GFist during flash combo (nooo!!)

the flash combo is released when we have job 60 so yes tiger cannon 10 is a must

of course the new 3rd job skills are on the same update as job 60  :hmm:

would fine if it came already nerfed so no need to do any fixing later

anyways, the nerf may not matter that much in pvm/leveling (you could potentially gather a larger mob if you can still pot; but you could also just windmill stun too if base level is higher than mob);

post-nerf, just have to be more careful when/where to use it in siege, 3~4 sec of not being able to do anything can be dangerous

why leave it at 6?

if you plan to use FC alot (ex. grind leveling on nightmare dungeons), you should really just max TC; the damage difference can be quite big;

now once you get to 175/60, you can reset and lower it to 6 if you want (assuming you still want the 5x5 aoe but won't really use it with the intent to do some serious damage anymore, which would be a bit pointless), or simply just 5 (for GoH pre-req) if you don't plan to use it at all anymore and save yourself a skill point; (though tao/+meg shura could still make great use of max TC FC in siege)

i want level 6 because im pvp build :P

 

but its not a bad idea to put it 10 to level up...

anyways, im glad we may get to see more variation for shura in this future update;

*still no love for KA anymore though, lol
