Patch Notes 8/20/2014

*Subject to change at anytime

 

1. Content Updates and Changes

 

   A. New Dungeons and Raid

 

      i. Silent Corridor

          -To start the quest line, look for Abdullah in Morroc City and accept the quest, "Assasin's Duel".

          -To enter Silent Corridor, enter the portal located at the top, right corner of Morroc City. 

          -Once inside, speak with NPC April to start the challenges. 

          -You will face the following bosses:

                Round 1: Dona

                  Round 2: Raphi

                  Round 3: Reo

                  Round 4: Miki

                  Round 5: Dona, Raphi, Reo, and Miki

 

      ii. Assassin's Sanctum

          -To start the Assassin's Sanctum quest line, accept the quest "I cannot handle anymore!" from Mcdonald Hitachi. 

          -The entrance to Assassin's Sanctum is near the lower right corner of Morroc City. 

          -You will face the following bosses in this dungeon:

                  Assassin Elder

                  Francis Accel

                  Valatie Jeff

                  Eremes

 

      iii. Himmelmez's Chamber

          -To enter Himmelmez's Chamber, you would need to complete the Dark Whisper quests. To start the Himmelmez's Chamber quests, speak to NPC Dwayne in Dark Whisper Upper Floor and accept the "Floating Stone" quest. 

          -Once you earn 8 Floating Stones, you may enter Himmelmez's Chamber.

          -You will encounter the following bosses:

                  Himmelmez

                  Himmelmez's Dragon

 

   B. Daily Quests *EVENT*

      i. There will be 3 new daily quests that will run for 6 weeks. 

      ii. The NPC is located near the Dark Whisper portal in Morroc City.

 

   C. Rogue/Assassin Balance Changes

      i. Thief Class

          -Skill damage has increased

          -Ymir Child: Cthulhu

                  Before: Using the skill would increase Attack Power, Movement Speed, and Acceleration

                  Change: Using the skill will increase Attack Power, Movement Speed, and Penetration [150/ 300 / 450] by each skill level.

 

          -Combo Training

                  Before:When a skill that obtains Combo Points is used, 1 additional Combo Point is obtained with 5%, 10%, 15% success rate

                  Change: When a skill that obtains Combo Points is used, 1 additional Combo Point is obtained with 5%, 10%, 20% success rate

 

          -Mark of Genocide

                  Before: Using this skill increased Critical Hit Rate of all party and attack squad members [0.4 / 0.8/ 1.2/ 1.6/ 2%]

                  Change: Using this skill will increase Critical Hit Rate [ 2, 4, 6, 8, 10%]

 

      ii. Rogue Class

          -Combo Mastery

                  Before: Active Rate [ 3/ 6/ 9%]

                  Change: Active Rate [5/ 10/ 20%]

 

          -Dual Stab

                  Before: Detect Weakness effect for 5 seconds

                  Change: Detect Weakness effect for 10 seconds

 

          -Mark of Death

                  Change: Current skill effect + will decrease 5% of target movement speed per each skill level [5- 50%]

 

      iii. Assassin Class

          -Shadow Claw

                  Change: Current skill effect + will increase 50 Penetration per skill level [50/ 100/ 150/ 200/ 250]

 

          -Grimtooth

                  Before: Number of attacking target x HP recovery point= Total HP recovered

                  Change: 20% of HP will be recovered with 30 seconds of cool down time

 

   D. WoE Re-balance

 

      i. WoE Guardians, Gates and Emperiums have their Attack Power and HP increased by at least 200%

         *Note: WoE castle and fortress ownership will be reset during this maintenance.

 

   E. Dungeon Re-balance

 

      i. Monsters and bosses in the Culvert of Abyss and Abbadon of Despair has their Attack Power and HP increased by at least 200%

 

2. Kafra Shop Update

 

    A. Refine Transfer Ticket (Sold in Kafra Shop for 800 KP)

      i. This item can move a refined weapon's refine rate to another weapon.
          -There could be a loss of 0 to 5 in Refine rate after the transfer.
      ii. When you use this item, a Refine Rate Change UI will pop up.
      iii. First, select the weapon without the refine rate (the target), and then select the weapon with the refine rate (has to be +1 or more). Click on "transfer" and the targeted item will receive the refine rate. The original item with the refine rate that was transferred will disappear.
      iv. Restrictions:
          1. Rarity gap should be less than 1
              -General/Magic
              -Magic/Rare
              -Rare/Epic
          2. The levels between the two items should be less than 5 (Example: You can transfer the refine rate from a level 50 weapon to a level 46 weapon, but not from a level 50 weapon to a level 43 weapon).
      v. MP cost will vary per Refine Transfer based on the refine rate change.
 

   B. Rune Item Sale  

      -Rune of AGI Enhancement Elixir (SALE): 100 KP

      -Rune of INT Enhancement Elixir (SALE): 100 KP

      -Rune of STR Enhancement Elixir (SALE): 100 KP

      -Rune of VIT Enhancement Elixir (SALE): 100 KP

      -Rune of WIS Enhancement Elixir (SALE): 100 KP

      -Rune Remover (SALE): 100 KP

      -Super Puncher (SALE): 200 KP

 

   C. Phantom Pyramid

      - 7F Item changes to Big Foot Bag

      - Myunel Exchange: Sleep Shade

      - Set Effect: Vitality, Acceleration, Critical 2% increase, Accuracy 4% increase (Period: August 20 - September 24)

 

3. Bug Fixes

   A. Loading screen spelling error fixed

   B. Flavor text displaying "no trans ID" for bosses and monsters will be fixed

   C. Selecting Road of Blessed will no longer take you to Dayr Desert

   D. Queen Kamil dress will now appear correctly

I thought we were getting 1/2/3/4/5% crit buff, oh my lord that is an insane party buff and I will definitely have to respec.. it's better than our self-crit buff, wtf lol. Gonna have to do some testing with cross impact too.

 

Is CoA getting scaled up to like osiris gear+ requirements? That could be major fun but it would suck to get level 50 item drops still.

 

More pay to RNG kafra shop items, smh.

The nightmare is real.

 

New opener from Hidden : Cross Impact. 1400% damage + 250 Penetration. GG squishy targets and non +20 on armors.

 

You guys buffing Guardians with this laggy WoE, there's  3 options:

 

1º Start macroin'

2º Modify RO2 client files.

3º Get back Urgent Recall.

 

Let the fun begin.

Well gg sins. Time to post some rage threads about most popular class getting buffed with a whole lot of armor pen. GG QQ rage rage. The usual

Sin was actually comparatively weak in PvP against some of the stuff out there like priest, cres, permasnare SM, one-shot tanks, etc, but I think they really overdid it here.

 

They just gave us a stealth opener which does almost 3x more damage than our current best, shadow strike, with 10% more crit for most sins. I will have over 50% crit after patch and cross impact is literally going to deal 90-100k out of stealth not even factoring the new penetration. lmao.

Does penetration start from your max def? Or like from 75% down. Example i have 90% def. Lets say he has enough pen to hit 15% threw my def. Will i be down to 75% or will i be down to 60% def. Thats my main concern. If its from def cap. Then + gear for tanks woukd be usless

Detect weakness is half broken not half - not broken it only affects your damage from moonlight dance in PvE which we have so much of to begin with lol

I have been testing it. With a +20 claw with a 50% blue and 40% power and a regular +20 claw with no runes. The regular claw does show a little extra damage but the power claw did show IMBA numbers. Also people Already get one shot with decent + refine already by classes that don't even have penetration.  :Emo_13:

 

Also zambee Did the changes on the Test sever are they not live anymore? The ymir has been changed but the "new grimtooth change is not listed. Here guys here is the New change to Sin's JUST in case you log on tomorrow and there is these new changes in effect.

 

è Change : Recover rate will be 20% no matter skill level  / Cool Time 30secs

It works from your max defense, so regardless you got 75% or 200% def, it will calculate the penetration damage from your actual defense. Now the formula for penetration is a mystery until Heimdallr or some CM with knowledge comes to forums and show to us how it works.

It would make Monk's Steel body and Iron skin useless then, but i can expect anything from Gravity, honestly.

 

Also Grimtooth lvl 10 = 10 targets 1388% AoE damage from hidden + 50% movement speed decrease. Put 10 Soulmakers or Crecentia's ML 20- on WoE with non refinement on armors. Higher damage than Shadow strike.

So now 5 Assassin's can combo a group of 10 people on WoE and 1 shot 'em all if coordinated.

 

Now i ask, is this a real balance for Gravity?

 

Grimtooth doesn't deal 2x damage from Hidden.

Well, Assassin's were never meant to heal first of all so, i won't mind if they nerf HP recovery to hell, but the AoE damage from Grimtooth is retarded.

It procs...like, once in a blue moon. But it does. Just doesn't affect dmg output of all your skills tho. 

 

 

 

About these Patch Notes:

Sure assassins won't complain about nice buffs but... really? I know I shouldn't say anything 'cause I'm currently maining an assassin but... What about rangers and their wtf unexplained ninjanerfs? What about other classes still highly unbalanced? And more importantly... why aren't devs listening to VCRs feedback!? They keep on sending whatever patch they want, ignoring all the feedback provided countless times by the majority of the community and even WP =/ Makes the whole VCR program feel extremely useless. I understand they cant implement whatever VCRs say but...nothing? not even changes based on general feedback? Come on.

 

Changes in WoE? All good, we all been asking for it. Now.. can we PLEASE fix the goddamn extreme lag and incredibly low fps we get there? I don't think RO2 should require an extremely overpowered expensive computer to run "decently". WoE isnt funny if we struggle so much to even move, not to mention the bloody annoying stairs being so hard to climb up (lolwtf).

 

Why aren't we getting also skill resets along with all these so-called "class balances"? We shouldn't have to PAY $$ to fix our builds ONLY because devs are so careless and break/fix things whenever they feel like and however they feel like. Any mmo out there gives players a free skill/stat reset after such big changes. Why aren't WE getting them?

I just checked because I thought that Cross Impact was divided into 2 hits like Shadow Explosion. It's not, aw fug, I'M GONNA NEED MORE SKILL POINTS.

lols sin damage to begin with is -_-. if we are lucky we might one shot people from stealth. yet other classes can one shot people anyways. sins get something good and people just rage. if we DON'T 1 shot people from stealth its prob GG for us. without the heal from grimtooth our party viability will be almost nothing. Our PVP might be a bit better but overall its not really that useful a buff. i was hoping for damage increase on like i dunno deadly blow or shadow fang, but i guess thats asking for useful PvE content.

You can't even call what they did to priest a balance, they buffed an already broken as -_- class, then they took rogue which any decent one can kill anything buffed them even more, and buffed Assassin so they can one shot out of hide since atm it's the bandwagon class to begin with.

My experience fighting Monks on the last couple of months with the penetration being implemented tells me that it works even if you got more defense than cap (75%). So yeah, it's worth.

 

I'll clear it a bit better:

Example:

 

Assassin with 70% defense will apply penetration from those 70% defense.

 

Same Assassin uses Shadow armor (+50% defense):

 

It will apply penetration formula from those 120% defense.

Lol.... Why bother in buff the HP and Attack Power of CoA and AoD ?

 

If I remember well the new khara title is something related to old raid dungeons, but I believe this will not bring the glorious raids days back to this game. They are only creating some difficulty in a short term but in the end this will be soloable like happened before.
