when u spawn at payon, u will see many bots sitting at spawn place, wait until HP full, go to field again, died again, repeat. only bots will do this over and over again without changing any behaviour

These are all low level bots. GM can spend their whole day sitting there banning them. It takes the botters are few minutes to create a new char and bring them back to that map to continue farming. The GMs are probably investigating the main owner of the account where most of the funds go to. That way, if they ban the owner's main account that holds a large amount of zeny, the owner may be discouraged from creating more bots.

This was the worst I've seen them. I spawned there just in time to see 20+ bots leaving the spawn point to die again. After that, I got on my high priest and used sanctuary on them. Continuous flow of bots. I got a replay of it. If I could find a way to convert my replay to a video, I'd post it here. It was disgusting.

These bots don't lose anything. Their base and job levels just go back to zero, and at thie level (they are in Payon forest killing spores), it's not a big deal at all.

lol. I would think banning a bot should be the same no matter the level rather then allowing them to benefit from it, gain levels, move to new maps and waiting for someone to report so they can be banned.

 

I never understood the point of having DB's in game if people complain about them being used. Havent they made them usable on certain maps only?

 

A smart bot would avoid those maps. lol

 

If you see a monster you cant kill or will kill you then buy a fly wing.

A "smart" bot will just fwing and not die anyways. All it does is mess up new players trying to level who have to fwing every 5 minutes for fear of being killed.

None of the Strawberry bots are "smart" bots.  As I already said, if you just DB the entrance to the map and nothing else, there are SO many bots that the DB'd monsters never even leave the entrance, seriously.  If you'd been there that night, you'd realize it.  Players only need to die once to realize the entrance is mobbed, then they'll just fly wing as soon as they get in.  Bots on the other hand are left for hours, if not days.  This invariably frees up the map for REAL players who want to earn some zeny and just plain level.

But Fly wings don't help when the sheer amount of DBs and bot's dieing at the entrance  lags you to the point you can't wing before your dead. Us older players know how to get to the map from other routs but a new player probably don't.

Even if that's true for one day, I've been there before and have seen bots fwing. And also had to see a number of really confused and frustrated new players. Even if the entrance is mobbed, there are still monsters that get away and scatter throughout the map that mess with players.

The Game Moderators have to confirm without a shadow of a doubt that it is an actual bot and create a report to why the player in question was banned. In the time it takes to ban a single bot, four more bots could easily take its place. Its better for the GMs to trail the bot and see where the zeny it accumulates is transferred to there by either banning the seller or the buyer of the zeny. Buyers being banned means the bots don't have a revenue and will eventually stop because of the cost of maintaining their program may exceed there profit. On the other hand a Seller being banned might stop the Seller from continuing to bot on Ragnarok and move onto another game. Banning the bot that farms the zeny does nothing other than make 1 or 2 players satisfied instead of hundreds.
