The new grimtooth is going to heal us for 20% life regardless of the level of grimtooth or our attack power.and have a lengthy 30s cooldown -- is it viable to not go lvl 10 grimtooth now? If you're just using it as healing, to me it seems like you can opt to spend those 9 points elsewhere. It also seems like it's going to be better in PvP because of that. By keeping grimtooth at lvl 1 I can grab the new cross impact and mark of genocide without any issues.

3/3 hide is just a personal preference and I still like PW no matter how bad it might be, it's won me a lot of clutch duels and the extra DPS is always nice (as a STR user I can hit over 700 with it).

tl;dr is grimtooth lvl 1 the way to go?

Oh missed that. Man 30 sec cool down? that is a big change D: id rather 10% at 10 secs lol. Maybe you should go for cross impact and the buff if you did'nt have it yet. Hopefully more people answer you n.n. I would like to know as well.

It also heals only once, no mater if you hit 10 targets or 1.

Yeah, leveling it past 1/10 just gives you more damage and makes it hit more targets, just like before, 1/10 only hits 3 targets, and you have to take it to 10/10 to make it hit 10 targets, but since it only heals once and for the same amount no matter how many targets it hits or if its 1/10 or 10/10, I see no point taking it beyond 1/10, since it's not viable for DPS anyway with that longass cooldown.

Seems to work just fine for me at level 1, the heals feel almost the same as before but the cooldown is definitely a ton higher.

Cross impact is OP for WoE out of stealth hitting and great for DPS rotations in PvE, but it's the only sin skill that forces us to stop moving so its only use in PvP is hitting someone after they are knocked down, which isn't too bad of a tradeoff considering its huge damage.

Could someone post a video of Assassin after this patch? Really curious on how they fare now in WoE and PVE. (and possibly 1on1 duels).

I barely come to this section cause i rather to let Assassins build their own build more than imposing my preference. Since with this patch we're really lacking of point (same for Rogues) to make the "perfect build" for us, i'll try to guide you on what you like most.

Cooldown at lvl 1:   28-30 seconds 30 seconds

Cooldown at lvl 10: 14-16 seconds 23 seconds

Cooldown at lvl 10 with Guardian : 14 seconds

Grimtooth at lvl 10:

1º Colosseum

Pros: You can slow down up to 10 targets dealing 683% damage to all of them, which is kinda good for KSing at some point and running away when being low hp.

Contra: It waste a ton of points, for us points are useful for many other skills like maxing MoG or getting PW to DoT Rogues or CI.

2º Duels and 1v1

Pros: It helps as another "finisher" if the other skills are on cooldown, we kill pretty quick 1--5 seconds, and all our skills are on cooldown at that time.

Contra: You're wasting points on other useful skills like MoG or DW or CI if you max it, depending your preference.

3º WoE

Pros: If you group up with 5 Assassin's you can 1 shot up to 10 targets in a crowd and/or slow all of them for -50% mov. speed. You can also help your team  slowing WoE Guardians while the rest is DPSing the Empellium (Shadow Armor at lvl 8 needed).

Contra: It lags alot when you hit 10 targets, so you need a high rendering computer to be able to proceed on the next skills or whatever it's your next step.

4º PvE

Pros: Pretty much the damage and the nº of targets you can slow down, i saw you don't have Shadow Fang, so unless you have a Mermaid lvl 4 or a good DoT pet to grind, i would highly recommend to max Grim to at least slow down mobs like on DW-Lower to back up your team or even DW- Upper if you like to solo.

Contra: Nº of Points required.

Have fun.

Edit: Cooldowns and damage.

Cooldown : 23 seconds

Cooldown with guardian: 14 seconds.

Hope it's more clear now.

I need to raise my vigor bad then, with lvl 10 grimtooth my cool down is at 29.38sec. If you don't mind me asking, how high is your vigor to get your cool down to 23.26?

Vigor = 1 - (23.26 / 30)

So roughly 22~23%.
