hi whenever i try to update my launcher, this error always occurs

Worked for me. Here's what you do.

1. Open the game folder.

2. Open MD5FileList.txt.

3. Delete all texts inside the file.

4. Save.

5. Right click MD5FileList.txt and select properties.

6. Tick the "Read-Only" box, make sure it is checked.

7. Run RO2Client.exe.

8. ????

9. Profit.

Hey guys, did anyone experience another error after using this fix??

 

I was able to patch the game but i keep getting this error every 10 mins in the game

 

"Designated module for Hackshield when create HSB file is not matched. (Code = e90400e

The program will be shut down."

 

can anyone help me? i tried searching in the forums one of the suggestions was removed the read only from MD5FileList.txt. property,

but if I do that I can't start the game again because it goes back to error02

 

I hope someone can help me...

Im gettin the error as well... I'mma try troubleshootin again later. One fix seems to break another.

Please give us more information, such as which client you are using (Steam, Aeria, or WP), what computer system, what region you're from etc.

OS: Windows 7

Region: Philippines

 

The updater stops before completion and pops up a message "error 02: Can not connect to Patch Server"

 

I tried the above fix but it didn't work for me. It only bypassed the updater, and the launcher doesn't update. But when it does, it pops an error "Data read failed".

It has nothing to do with region or computer system. What's causing troubles is when you launch the client and it "try" to update Hackshield, there's when it crashes and fail.

 

That Thai guy is "skipping" the Hackshield update and going directly to patch the RO2 files at the cost of crashing every 5-10 minutes cause of Hackshield errors.

 

 

This, is a fact. Already tested.

 

Edit: Also this problem applies to WP client and Steam client, same Hackshield update Errors.
