Are the eggs in the academy boss flagged? If yes, then that damage is the damage to expect on an mvp.

depends if they're small size too, makes a big diff with daggers. 100% to small, 50% to large

Actually, the eggs in the academy are middle size boss.

Their hard DEF is too low to test DD crit with an Ice pick.

But if you use LK and Ktullanux cards with AKx2 Chakram+Assassin's handcuff,

No..it's not Ktullanux card..he was wearing very normal gears. ^^

Crit DD is only better if you can't hit the mvp with normal hits, double attack DD will do more then Crit DD, unless the mvp has requires like 650+ hit rate or something, otherwise double attack wins, i'll bet on that.

 

For DD crit vs Katar Crit, DD crit will win if mvp has very, very high defense, like maybe the mvp in nid dungeon, ifrit, stuff like that. low-medium defense, crit katar will win. That's with a drake card in one of the daggers, and using ice pick, otherwise crit katar will win on high defense mvps too.

Hmm I wouldn't be so sure about a thanatos carded katar winning. If you had a thanatos card, it eliminates the need for ice pick, allowing you to use a whopping 3 more cards for additional damage in both weapons combined.

You could have a +12 scalpel on the main hand with an AK card, drake and thanatos. And in the offhand, you can use 2 more AK cards and 2 size/race cards for more damage, or even aunoe cards.

On the other hand, say you use the chakram and sincuffs combo, you get 1 slot left for an AK card. You do more damage than before, but well it's the same for a DD setup.

And yeah, double attack should do more damage provided you can hit the target, which is pretty impossible on agi up mvps sadly.

If you use Thanatos card on Katar, you don't need to wear gears for crit rate, and gives more flexibility.

Chakram gives 40% Crit damage bonus and Advanced Katar Mastery give 20% damage bonus on top of everything.

So, it's like free three Aunoe cards or even better, if you use Chakram and Assasssin's handcuff set.

DD crit is not too viable right now in iRO yet I suppose due to the huge amount of crit and aspd related gears and foods needed...

However I do think it has more potential than a crit katar build in future updates. For example, the crit shadow armor in sakray now which gives 5 crit, and an additional 5 more crit at +7.

Also for aspd, there's cenere card in the future, a garment card that gives 2% aspd per 10 base agi, or petal card which is 2% crit damage per 10 base luk.

193 aspd and 100% crit rate are necessities for both builds to perform. Katar builds are able to achieve that more easily, but in the future when better gears are out, dual daggers would be able to sacrifice less gears for crit and aspd and focus more on damage, possibly making them stronger.

I guess for now katar would be the choice huh...

The main issue with DD would be getting 193 aspd and crit rate over 120 or so. Katars have a better crit and aspd mod :/

Lord Knight, and I don't think the drop rate was bugged - there were just tons of Duped ones.
