I know there's a guide in the guide thread that has a list of links, but I checked the success calculator in the thread that is linked to, but no matter what format I downloaded it in, I couldn't get it to work. So I was wondering if either someone could host a working version of that calculator, or if there's another calculator some where else that's up-to-date with the iRO server? (The only other one I found was at RMS and it was for Aethena(sp?), so I don't know if that's accurate.)

But in the meantime, I had a couple questions. I read on irowiki that successes can slightly boost the success rates of cooking, and was wondering first off, is this true? And second, do failures count against you? Thanks!

I read that too, it is believed that number of cooking attempts affects success rate, which doesn't matter if you success or fail.

Are you talking about this file?

You need Microsoft Excel in order to open and use it properly. Once you open it in Excel, you simply enter the values in the Success Calculator tab and the spreadsheet will do the calculations for you.

Thank you Zero. I figured I needed one of those programs, but I don't have any of them on my desktop. I got it working on my laptop using OpenOffice. I was trying to download it as a webpage and hosting it. /swt

Spike, so just attempting foods increases success rates? Hmmm... I like the idea of that, no matter how little the increase is. Can anyone confirm this though? Or is it more rumor than anything?

I've Google'd some calcs (more than one, other than RMS' and RODE's), there seem to be a maximum number of attempts that raises the success rate. Each calc have different number. But I suppose it'll take around 100 or 500 attempts to notice the raise of the success rate.

I see... Thank you for the info. :)
