Ok so what happened to chem drops in ruins? I've been farming for 30 mins and just got like around 5 pcs essence and 3 pcs ether. Is there a change in drop rates or something?

mochacaramel? I have the same issue, oh btw I noticed that the chem drops are removed in dungeons as well. Kinda sucks.

Lol everytime someone says higher gem prices they go up 10 mil. Even if there's no real reason. x)

What you mean no reason lol. Chems are getting scarce and you need it to craft gems.

Haven't had a jewel box drop in quite awhile but I'm still getting refines same as always. Higher quality ones not as often but still getting them too. I've never farmed for them tho- just getting them while leveling on various maps with various characters.

I have no problems getting chems. And I am not even trying to get them. Try OT, and GC.

Just becuse chems are harder to find, doesn't mean the demand for gems went up, most people are still recycling their items via unbinds and trades.

I wasnt talking about the demand. It's about supply. Take faiths for instance. They're expensive not because it's in demand but because it's no longer available. Thats my point.

But chems are still quite available. It is just a matter of finding the new spots.

you could have 5 million of something or 1 of something, if noone wants it, then it doesn't have any value. THAT's the beauty of economics. And yes, there is an incredibly and insanely high demand for Faiths. That demand is due to the supply ironically. In other situations, value is affected by demand being high, and supply being low. [goes up] if demand stays the same, and supply goes down, [goes up] if supply increases and demand stays the same, [goes down] if supply increases and demand goes down [goes down]. 

 

Currently, supply went down, but so did demand, most people got their EQ sorted out by now from the bind update, and don't need gems. There for supply down, demand down, value = same. It's only an excuse people will use to attempt to give themselves more profit.

demand = the desire or necessity to have. Faiths are wanted by anyone who wishes to have a rare item that will never be released again. That's how they're in demand.
