Account lock i kinda get.. its a good idea..

character lock takes that idea abit too far, firstly we can't trade within our own characters because you'd rather we spend more money and more time playing, we can't even store our character bound equips.

i regret spending money on item mall points to play this game and if character bound equips are going to be your way forward..you might aswell stop making item mall equips because eventually we'll run out of space...

anyway i've got nothing nice or constructive to say i hate the way rose as turned out and until character lock is removed i wont be back spending my money on this game..

Not every item is character locked and the ones that are can be stored in the character tab of storage. If you need more than one page of that, you can get a permanent expansion in the IM for 350 points. Each storage tab holds 40 items- I can't imagine that anyone would need more than 80 spaces for character locked items but if you do, you can get as many character storage expansions as you want. 

 

As far as I know, all of the trade restrictions are in place now so it's easy to see which items are locked and which are bound. The restrictions were discussed well in advance of being implemented and Leonis clearly stated why these changes are necessary. There was even a one last chance given to move items before they became locked/bound. Items that are bound can be unbound and that unbinder coupon is not in the IM at all- it's in the valor shop so everyone has the ability to get it with valor points. 

 

Every other online game I have ever played has trade restrictions like this. There has already been a change in the economy here because of the restrictions. Prices are coming down on a lot of items and there are more and more shops selling crafted items.  Imo those are positive signs. Everyone just has to get used to a new way of thinking about items and where we want or need them.

1: Bound items can be unbound via the Item Unbinder coupon in the Valor shop

2: You can store character bound + character locked items, there is a "character" storage tab at the storage. 

Account - Items not bound, account bound/locked , or with no restrictions can be stored here

Item Mall - Any item with a "item mall" grade can be stored in these tabs.
Character - Any item can be stored here
Premium - Any item aside from character bound/locked can be stored here, and can be accessed from anywhere at anytime for free with a premium subscription.

OK let me see if i can get what is expected of me straight

I spent zulie on items i can't trade between my accounts because somebody vended something that is..character locked on acquisition..yet he acquired the item from the game..so now i must spend valor points to unbind the character lock..

Nope, you can't unbind locked gears, you can only unbind bound gears.

No item bought in game should lock on acquisition as the acquisition process occured when the item was acquired by the other player.

In most of the MMOs I have played, the armor and weapons were locked on acquire or use. There was no way to undo that either, and there was no problem. It will take time for us older players to get used to this, but I am sure most of can adapt and survive the change.

can we use that unbinder to all types of binded items? etc. character and account bound items? or only account? or only character which is which sorry I'm noob just curious

If the item says Bound (e.g. Character Bound or Account Bound), you can use the Item Unbinder Coupon on it.
If the item says Locked (e.g. Character Locked or Account Locked), you cannot use the Item Unbinder Coupon on it.
