Think of yourself as the enemy. If your setup would inflict more damage to yourself, you do more damage with EQ.

today, I tested with Fire armor(Ktullanux card)

 

 

Eq dmg was up to 11k with single target. and around 7k with 3 targets.

Is there a point to using 2 faceworm queen daggers at the same time? Would think something like an ice pick or 4 slot dagger would do better.

You mean 2 targets? The AoE of EQ is too large to hit only one egg in Izlude Academy.

After some thought, I'd like to request testing something too.

Wear a full set of armor that has decently high def.

Use the leg on the main hand and nothing on offhand. Check EQ damage.

Next wear a combat knife on the offhand. Check EQ damage and compare.

The aim of this experiment is to see if defense is taken into account for EQ damage. If it does, then you might be able to wear high defense gears and use an ice pick/thanatos card to inflict good damage~

You want to build dagger/crit right? How much Hit you plan? Cause skills block crits? But you Need to Hit to proc the dagger. Its kinda selfkilling isn't it?

He has to remake his char without double attack to dual dagger crit my friend had the same problem before and yea double attack overrides crit sadly.

Yeah and the EQ proc should block crits too or not?

mm  the earthquake proc is like CD in mouth aslong as you are hitting(normal or crit) it will proc and so it doesnt stop crits but adds to dmg(correct me if im wrong  )

EQ is a magic attack. It doesn't miss, just like how fire bolts don't miss(unless due to element or resists).

Ok but the Double attack still kills the crit. You Need Hit to hit with Double attack. But you need high luck to get moderate crit rate with daggers. Normaly hit/dex suffers for increased Luk/crit, because you don't need hit anymore. But if you skill Double attack as thief and have low hit 50% of your attacks will Miss. So resetting your GX skills will kill your dmg unless your thief/high thief wasn't higher than Job 42.
I just want to know if i get it right

Yes that is correct. In fact I have a GX that job changed from thief to sinx at job 42. However he's only level 103 :/

Do take note that you lose a number of valuable skills if you skip out on double attack.

These include advanced katar mastery, meteor assault and soul destroyer. With that in mind, my GX is a weapon blocking/counter slash build.

I'm sort of struggling though, to survive. Oh, that and I have school to worry about so I'm hardly playing @_@

You should only go for this build if your mind is set on it. It's a considerably rare build to see around, and the gears needed to make it work beautifully are expensive. Not recommended for first character.
