So recently my birthday passed and I got a Visa gift card. I wanted to use it to buy VIP and some things from Kafra only for me to realize a little late that you can't use Visa gift cards. So now all the money is gone and haven't heard a reply since I sent a ticket. Will I ever get my money back?

I already tried that and it wouldn't link the card. Did a little more research and found out that because it is a gift card it doesn't have a name and billing address and so Paypal wouldn't accept it.

I had one with name but not address it worked.

Well, buy a gift card with name with your gift card then lol

The money is gone because while transaction was going through WPE couldn't find a billing address and name, but it still took the money.

Thanks that seems to have solved the problem on linking it to Paypal. The next problem is getting the money back.

The money probably isn't permanently gone. I suspect that a pre-authorization hold has the money tied up, but that should clear in a day or so since the actual transaction didn't complete.

Vendors do NOT take the money until the transaction is approved. If the transaction failed the money should NOT have been taken. As the previous poster said, It might have a pre-authorization hold on the funds and will be returned after 1-2 business days.

 

If they kept the money you should be pursuing that with customer service for the vendor.

I only use visa gift cards to buy wpe. None of my real info is given out online. I have never had issues with paying.

Make sure you register your visa gift card before buying anything online. It takes like 10 seconds max. Buy visa gift card -> register zipcode at onevanilla.com -> buy w/e online.

You shouldn't be able to buy wpe from wp unless the zip code gets registered.

Weekends and Holidays will make it take longer. It is possible, if it's the first time you bought WPE, that they need to hold it for a few days just to be sure(can't really recall if they do that, but some sites do) that the funds are there.
