Is there another way to get this set if you dropped it? o_o There is no quest or anything from the NPC but not sure if I need to go somewhere else.

The NPC in Port of the Winds "Kafra Employee <Telling>" can give you the quest and basic set.

I did the quest and received the novice set awhile ago but I dropped the set and there's no quest from Telling anymore! D:

I believe you only get the free novice set one time! in game. One time per char though. After that (I destroyed it once accidently on EU servers) I personally never found a way in the whole game to get a new set. Sadly.

(if anyone on here knows a way, I would love to know it)

Maybe that would be worth writing a ticket to the support. Maybe you can ask for a new novice set. Dunno though if that fits the rules.

But it is at least worth a try I guess.

you can create a new char and trade it over the account vault, but there is no other way without the support

maybe a daily quest could be added with the novice set as reward ?

That'd be tough to do...

but if you didn't receive the set, you can submit a ticket

:p_smile:

ShazamO, I think you didn't get the problem:

He/she did receive the whole set, but dropped it afterwards. (aka got rid of it/destroyed it whatever...)

And now he/she can't get a new novice set in game. But I guess wants to run the RO area of the game now and just can't do that, without the novice set equipped.........

.......and sadly there is no second time for a player in the whole game to somehow get the novice set back (or a new one)....this is a problem.

Actually a pretty common problem in game by many. Cause many people just get rid of the novice set once they got a better IM set farmed/bought. And realize just in that moment: CRAP - what now? I'm not able to run any RO dungeon anymore now......where can I get another RO novice set in game?

This is why TheCristall  told you this:

maybe a daily quest could be added with the novice set as reward ?

See?  :p_smile:

This is why TheCristall made the suggestion of a daily quest implementation for the RO novice set. This would be great for all players who dropped/destroyed/got rid of the first via quest given one.

(I would still suggest to write a ticket and to  hope for the best)  :ok:

EDIT:

Why exactly is this "tough to do"?

You already do this many times in game. The first example of this would be the repeatable gas mask quest the NPC Davy offers everyone in POW.....

It's hard to do because it requires the Dev team to do it, whom seem like they don't want to do anything anymore.

I don't think that a dev team is needed, because as far as I know, adding quests with item rewards (which are already contained in the game) is possible without having a dev team. The only question is whether their tools are working.

The quests are (for example) written into the data files of the crypted xml.dat. And I know they have the tools to change this file. What maybe also needed is some changes to the database. Since this is an ordinary MySQL database, it is not hard to have tools to change the tables. Also they can change and recrypt the tb.bin files.

There should not be any problems adding a repeatable quest to - let's say - Telling to give a reward after giving her gold or souls or somewhat ever.

Sadly I must agree to you StormHaven, I also have the strong feeling that the Dev team does not do anything for DragonSaga. But sometimes miracles do still happen. And - who knows - maybe not for all a dev team is needed - just let us be patient.

And if not - and when this server closes anytime in a (hopefully) far future - they can hand over the source code to me and I will open a new and bug-fixed server . I have the knowledge and the tools needed to do that. Just my server would be too weak to handle that.  :heh:

you can always use the special costumes if all else fails they provide the dimensional resistance as their set effect, that is if your willing to cough up the gold for a set.
