So after a few weeks of started playing monk, i noticed monk is not as OP as i expected, sure we own in duels, but in woe. once you use G fist your pretty much usless cuz of cool downs. so i wondered. Are we gonas get buffed or nerfed?. im really not feeling the nerf. That would make me go back to knight lmao. Anyone heard anything about monk being nerfed or buffed in the months to come?

How is being able to kill anyone you look at a bad class for WoE? Granted Knight does this too but that's an issue with broken tactics.

Also that dodge is pretty stupid and should be 2 dodge per AGI imo. Everything ever misses on monks.

well so far priests, sins, and rogues got buffed when two of those classes didnt need it. i'd expect monks to get buffed in the future. check out what the VCRs are proposing to be buffed, that'll give you some idea of what'll come in the future

I think what the monks needed right now is to have more impact to a party, because most of the time in RO2 are mostly involved to partying. I hate seeing ML monks soloing their way to level. Poor souls.

IMO the Flee skill should be changed for something like HP/SP recovery, like the Absorb Spirit Sphere/Spiritual Cadence in RO1. We may have dodge on most of our gears, but that dodge might belong to Ranger or Rogue. Or maybe replace the skill that drains all counter, combo, rage on nearby enemies.

The monk must be versatile and flexible in most situations, but BM's already have it.

Monk during WOE time? 10% Gfist, lighting walk, that AOE move on players. 90% attacking gates and emps.

I would have to agree with that, oh you didn't oneshot him?! Cool, reset cd's and gfist again.

But really it's all aov there's no reason most attacks should be a oneshot to begin with. Super low cd's and overpowered attacks lolol

As to improve or nerf the monk answer to the following ;

Based on this section; bit.ly/1C8bHqy

We realized the quantity of suggestions that the players of the community have had and partly we have given to express in the public report how private, on the one hand I support several suggestions that have been established, but not everything regrettably can be done of a "blow", although so much Yllavyre as I we have indicated ways of as(how) to be able to improve or maintain the monk as a Tank in PvE and a good election in the PvP, one has to understand that not everything is "perfect" and I have seen that over the course of time like VCR, with every new gear I am reseteado and I have created piece of news build to see which are the most advisable options and have consulted me in the game of it and answer them without problems (English, Philippine, Spanish).

What more one try to be able to modify was Bugs topics like also topics of CD's, DoT's, the progress of "Evasion/Flee".

Most of the community protest because the "G-Fist" is the skill that causes more damage, but if one sees it being "Full VIT" it is the worst Skill in terms of damage (I say it for experience to the being 1 month still FULL VIT), but he(she) depends on one knowing how to use well the monk so that it is said if it is "op" or not.

I have seen suggestions since Vaiki was VCR, saying that the monk should be like(as) of RO1 and to it my answer is no.
Since there are a lot of differences and factors that influence, and if it was going so far as to try to assimilate there would be an imbalance between the following points.
Parry; Dodge; hit; AP; Defense; haste; vigor.

I am more practical and in what it is reports I say that skill it is badly and in that level and that it must improve and that suggestions to take into consideration and which(who) not, but independent from that the programmers take certain topics(common places) into consideration for the following balances.

So as long as more ideas all of the players that we use the monk we have, better ways forward will have the monk in the game (I at least see that and I have collected since I started as VCR).

But in any case there is no denying that the same difficulty of the game has increased and has higher demands and required coordination with the other classes in dungeons (example; AS), so that not everything is based on increasing the damage or diminish the CD, but the communication that one has with the other and also know how to use the class that one uses.

So after a few weeks of started playing monk, i noticed monk is not as OP as i expected, sure we own in duels, but in woe. once you use G fist your pretty much usless cuz of cool downs. so i wondered.

Well, that's quite a precise summary. Although most players tend to believe that G-Fist and defense makes the monk OP, but the cooldown is the major issue here.

It would have been better for anyone to choose Assassin instead.... it's 3080% for a critical Cross Impact out of Hide (even more if Shadow Fiend triggers) vs. 3360% for a G-Fist against a knocked down target... and the first one doesn't require you to get some Inner Spirits first and can be used whenever you managed to end the combat. It's also invisibility + speed + armor penetration versus plain old defense. And due to the first point, it should be clear that defense alone won't get you that far.

But I could also bring up the Knights & Warriors here. A Warrior's Rage Strike could easily do an equivalent of 5700% when it crits.... and a Battle Leap an equivalent of 1960% or more thanks to Battle Tactics... and both skills have a much lower cooldown.

And just in case you hear other classes whining: If a Sorcerer managed to trigger the Wind Crest or got a lucky Frost Diver, a JT deals an equivalent of 3584% when it crits. Due to the tremendous cooldown of 3sec or less, you might want to cast VS for another 3200% right before you cast the second JT....

And a critical Fireball deals 1568% initially and 5x 470% DoT every 2sec thereafter. So the DoT can easily compete with an Oratio+Credo combo, but the initial damage can't compete with a 3898% critical Ray of Genesis.

________________

So the answer to whether the monk needs a buff or nerf can be seen by looking at these values alone. I'd clearly say, he deserves a buff (like a lower G-Fist cooldown). But in regard of the overall situation, all classes need to get nerfed.... including the monk.

Monks do need a buff, bring back the old Heavy Tackle splash damage, increase Internal Wound chance rate (hoping for it, to be honest) and decrease Asura Strike cooldown.

I'm fine with the most part of it. Just those things above are my major concerns.
