As an avid user of mercenaries, can we have an option to pay more for a longer mercenary contract? Failing that, I've often had troubles attempting to heal my mercenary when they're being mobbed, so is it possible to make the mercenary appear in the party menu or somewhere I can easily heal from?

Do you make use of Mercenary Potions? I've never really had issues with maintaining a Merc's HP/SP with a good supply of them, even when flywing mobbing. You can grab them in front of Izlude's Swordman Guild.

Ah, that's probably it. I'm using my h.aco to heal the merc - it's my first character, and I don't really have any funds to buy pots, esp. after getting a merc scroll, haha.

do you have noshift on?  i had no issues targetting my merc with it disabled, even if it was being mobbed.

 

i want level 100+ mercs; i'm pretty sure even the 99 mercs would get rocked by the mobs in the new world.

They can deal with everything up to Nagas really. The Archer Merc can go even further if you set the AI (AzzyAI) to kite.
