Rise and shine folks! It's been a while but we are in need of additional women and men to help us moderate the forums. These choosen few will be responsible for communicating feedback to Community Managers, keeping the peace on the boards, and will be expected to be able to field strip a keyboard in 30 seconds.
Maybe not the last part.
This assignment is not for everyone. Those who are prone to argument, are unable to work with Warpportal staff or fellow posters or who are deeply intertwined with powerful guilds will be unlikely to be a good fit with this program. The volunteer moderators are required to be able to respectfully interact with the community even when the community is agitated. This is not the job if you want to "punish" or "enforce" things here. This is a peacekeeping mission and we need human beings, not bullies.
This position is open to all players, but we will be choosing just a handful for this go-around.

Please write a short sentence on WHY you want to become a moderator and any previous experience you may have had in moderation. Prior experience is helpful, but not essential.
If you have organized and run events or participated in the creative side of the game please make sure to note it.
Please let us know what region you live in and what hours you would be able to be active.
The CM team will look at the applications and look at your prior history on the forums. While warnings and past aggressive behavior on the forum are not a deal breaker necessarily, it will be a part of the consideration process. People applying should be current players of our games. We're not expecting people to be arse kissers and we don't want aggro defenders either. Just open minded folks who understand their community, who are interested in helping.
================Restrictions==================
It is important that this position is anonymous. Vmods should not disclose that they are our sleeper agents ingame or outside of the game.
Vmods start out on a trial basis, for a month it will be important for them to see how the CMs and fellow community moderators interact with the community. If they find the position is not for them, no harm/no foul.
Vmods do not receive special treatment ingame but we do compensate with a bit of WPE periodically to thank Vmods for their work.
Vmods must be active. I do not expect people to put in hours like this is a part time job, but we would like people who have the energy and drive to help us here on the forums.
Vmods will be in contact with CMs and fellow moderators in a skype chat, we request that if a discussion is getting heated that the mod's actual posting persona has a stake in that they call in another mod to perform the moderation.
Use of moderator powers must be limited to cases only when it is absolutely needed. A reasonable word or warning can calm a situation better than bans or mutes if the poster is willing to listen.
