More interesting headgears

There are a lot of headgears in the game that just don't have any pratical use. Many of them are just "pointless" "defense 2" itens with nothing more to them. I gess lots of them are there just to be colected by the few people who are interested in it. But why not use them to make the game a little more exciting? Here are two sugestions in that sense:

 

1. Give low tier headgears low tier bonuses.

What if those Egg Shells that drop from Eggyra gave 30% tolerance to Eggyra damage? Those Antlers or Decorative Mushrooms could give a little stat bonus for the noobs; that Funeral Hat or Green Feelers Could reduce the SP consumption of a first job skill.

I just think it would be easy to make the game a little more colorfull by putting the headgears that already exist to some use.

 

2. Make possible for every headgear to be made into a costume by upgrading it to +7.

 

What if players could have the best battle headgears and still have whatever looks they desire? It would oxygenate the economy and allow the flow of itens which would otherwise have no demand.

 

 

What do you people think?

Well tbh there's a bit of strategy in being able to see your opponent's headgear, and make judgments based on it. One can usually tell the build of their enemy by the headgear they wear, unless the player is new or broke, in which case they'll just have any old thing on XD Due to that reasoning, I don't think we should blow out the number of costumes.

 

I LOVE the sound of special bonuses for low tier headgear though. It'd be amazing and would give some diversity to player headgear choices. I'm afraid it'll be hard to implement though due to all the work involved and the sheer number of headgears on offer.

I like these ideas in particular. Especially the idea of like, first job skills getting SP reduction by some of the headgears you'd find while leveling a first job.

 

Generic hats nobody uses that drop on certain maps should reduce damage from and increase damage to, the monsters on the next leveling area you might graduate to! That would both encourage people to grind at such and such spot until they get the gear for the next spot, and help guide people to what the next most desirable spot is.

 

Like, defeat a familiar and get a Ribbon[1]. Ribbon[1] with have the effect, "Reduce damage from and increase damage to Elder Willow by 20%." Something like that. That way you'd graduate from Familiar (lvl 24) to Elder Willow (lv 34).
