So, the only thing I'm seeing is "for newbie users" and "event". Can someone please enlighten me.

I don't quite follow? Are you saying that there is too many events focused on new characters? Or something else?

No not at all. I'm just wondering how people got that gear and if there was actually an event for new players. Because I never got it.

That was a extended event that happened earlier in the year. It also ran late last year as well
