Genesis said at one Point that these items could be used in refining uniques and that they were Active, but can someone inform me if they really are Active, and if so, how do I use them?

I heard something like it was a refine item not yet implemented...

But i want more info on it.

I'm just hanging on to all the ones I find. Hope it won't be long 'til their use is implemented in game!!

Maybe those items will be the in game version of venurunes,plutorunes, etc sometimes

if you look at the item type.. it is labeled as Refine Materials.. meaning, they are the same as Bindrunes/Apotrope etc.. so they are probably for those slots..

But aren't plutos, neptus, and such also labeled as refine materials?

Venurunes are defined as Refine Enhancement

Nepturunes/Plutoruens are defined as Refine Protection
