Rata Card:

MATK + 10
When dealing magic damage, there's a chance that for 4 seconds your Fixed casting time will be reduced by 50% (does not stack with other fixed cast time effects). very very low chance; 1%.

Doing my own calculation I can't see this being better than robo eyes (MUCH cheaper).

Assuming this card will go in a middle slot headgear (sunglasses, etc), this will be competing with isilla card.  Isilla is selling for 15 million and gives 2 INT and 5% chance to proc.

Robo Eyes outperforms both cards in terms of damage.

Isilla outperforms Rata in chance to proc. Isilla: variable?  rata: fixed?

I dont see how anyone could justify buying Rata card for its current market price.  Am I missing something?

Isilla = variable

Rata = fixed

Rata does not stack with other -% fixed cast effects - but it DOES stack with -x.x second cast time effects (this is how % mods to fixed cast in general work - first the subtractive mod is applied, then what's left is modified by the largest % fixed cast reduction)

Rata card is quite rare, and I think that plays into the high price.

Also, with things that proc off magic attacks, I think it counts each target hit as a separate attack, so AoE's proc it more than you'd expect.

So Rata does not stack with Radius for Warlock or sacrament 5.  If I so happen to have Sacrament 5 24/7 then Rata proc never benefit me.

I just can't find reasonable, realistic use for this rare card.

It's not gamebreaking.

It is not an MVP card (although the spawn rate is rare).

Reminds me of IRL diamond rings; has no practical use in reality's mechanics but sure looks nice.

1.  I guess if I all the money zeny in the world, I would MAYBE consider buying it just to show off.

2.  OR if you were striving for non-kafra shop gear for bragging rights, it would be nice to have a pair of Sunglasses of Fast. :rice:

Rata Card should stack with Nidhoggur Shadow Card. This would give a chance of having -100% Fixed Cast Time. I believe Equipment Fixed Cast Time Reduction % stacks additively with all other Equipment Fixed Cast Time Reduction %.

Robo Eyes > Rata Card in terms of Matk

Also, this card is used mainly for WoE TE

It doesn't.

You completely misunderstand the concept of rarity then. How else could functionally useless but uuuuuuuuuuuuuultra qt hats be worth 1b+?

On average a warlock has at least 2 seconds worth of fixed cast time on skills, even if they went 120 dex to take advantage of the 0.5 second reduction in fixed cast time from the temporal dex shoes, it still leaves at least maybe 0.75 seconds of cast time after applying Rata card, which then makes no difference compared to having a sacrament buff, honestly what Warlock goes around on their own without an AB friend around to partner up with? They must either have no friends or nigels...........that doesnt help it any better against instant cast Sorcerers........................unless of course a Warlock can have over 360 total int to take advantage of Radius(in which case a 75% reduction in fixed cast time) then that makes wearing the Rata card pointless.......................

But what would I know? I just play an Archbishop that doesnt have 120 dex and find wearing a temporal boot pointless compared to what I wear for boots, so I will just sit over here with some popcorn and watch how this discussion goes.........

I have been trying to solo Warlock in 120's level range.  You are very limited on where you can go solo.  Nameless island is pointless solo or even with an AB because of Sonic blow and annoying banshees.  Even if you could pull it off solo, the experience is mute compared to just going with a linker and leveling in GH with Link and Kaahi.  Even THAT is slower than my Mado mechanic surprisingly.

And yes, I myself solo 99% of the time because I have no friends   :sob:

Rata card would make no difference in leveling either.  Actually it's only for looks when your gear is open to the public.

Robo eyes 2% MATK  >  Rata (1.42857%MATK) assuming you have 700 base MATK, unless you're running around with a +4 Rod [4].

The difference would be even more noticeable when using Mystical Amplification, but I believe the % modifiers apply before Amp.

EDIT:  I forgot to add that even if the card vended for 10 million, I would advise saving your zeny for something alot more useful and do your homework    :gg:

If I was playing a high wizard and WoE: TE was more competitive, I would pay the price for this card easily. For 4 seconds I would be god-like. But unfortunately, WoE: TE isn't competitive.
