Hi... I used to play this game in SEA server. I'm from Indonesia, South East Asia.

 

If I want to play from this server:

 

Can I play this game smoothly? I usually experience severe lag if I play games from US server

 

Is there any IP Block?

 

Sorry If there are similar threads out there.

No, there is no IP block.

Many people from SEA play here now.

But you could experience delays because of higher ping times (because of the distance between Indonesia and North America).

 

If it runs without lags I can't answer. I'm from middle europe and don't experience any lags, but who knows?

I hope someone else from SEA could answer here.

sorry, what is tracert? My internet connection is fine. it can reach 1.2 mbps. so I don't think my connection is the problem.

 

Oh ya one more thing, maybe my RAM sometimes is the problem. my laptop's Ram is only 2 GB. Some people say it's too low.

 

So, is my RAM too low for this game?

 

I used to play this game years ago and it was fine.

Sorry, I misunderstood your thread the first time. I changed my text.

Your RAM is not too low, but because of a bug called "memory leak" you COULD experience randomly crashes to desktop when the RAM gets full (after playing a while). 

This could happen but it doesn't have to.

 

Just give it a try.

Did you already download and install? This is an important question.

not yet... afraid that it's going to be only lag. Like dragon prophet that I had just installed not too long ago. Installed it for quite a long time and couldn't play it because the lag was too severe. Can't even move.

 

Hopefully this one won't be only lag. okay I'll give it a try then. thank you for helping.

Wait. Another imporant question if you want to download the game now... Do you have an english Windows System or a Windows in your native language?

 

If the last is the case use the installer found in this post:

This is a fixed official installer.

The one from the WarpPortal site doesn't work for non-english windows systems. It refuses to install and an error occurs.

With the fixed installer instead works on ALL windows languages just fine.

(it download from the original site and starts a fixed original installer)

Streaming something in the background could cause lag/lag spikes

Oh, something came into my mind about the lagging thing, after ShazamO posted about the streaming.

 

Some virus scanners have network traffic scanners which could cause extremely lagging in some cases (e.g. Avast Antivirus has a network traffic scanning module). Also some firewalls can cause this with their anti-hack-protection.
