which one has better dps ? EDP GX or RK with Str Rune ?

RK will never have the dmg of GX...and GX dmg can only go higher

Tried both. I'm assuming you are ctrl clicker guy.

 

Rk can't reach the damage done by Gx even both have same god item. Reaching max aspd is harder for gx but not impossible anymore. Gravity released bunch of items and gears every months in renewal, you just need to use some brain+gear combination and throw out the 'must have gear' rule for gx, which easily get from coins.

 

Rk just good to compete with and only with rune. Try go MVP or PVP without rune, you are like asking "Bro, can you just kill me?"

Rk can reach 10k-30k in an auto single hit while gx way beyond that, limitless which I should say thanks to EDP. Two hand sword don't act like two hand sword for swordman class, but thief class can properly use both hands which really looks like they have two weapon on both hands. 

 

The only skill which able to compete with Gx 'EDP+whatever aoe Gx has' is dragon breath due to large area it can inflict, it is a magic skill and the parameter which control the dragon breath damage, max HP and SP (Note that, Rk has the higher HP pool among others). Instant cast of dragon breath is already problematic, plus with new rule of 0.3s fix cast delay (not sure is it already implemented?) in renewal, it is still problematic to fight dragon breath because it behave like an archer. You don't need to be next to the enemy to spam dragon breath, but gx skills (most or all?) need you to be next to the enemy to inflict a reasonable damage.

 

P/s: I forgot my gx account, I wish I can experiment more with him. Rk is still my main.

charge attack is weaker than dark illusion afaik. since dark illusion behave more like flying kick with delay.

 

so it doesn't worth it to make an agi RK ? i wanted to make 1 because i like swords. but looks like this game has no love for sword.

I'm Agi RK. My gear cost me more than 2b which is high end gear but I'm still lost to Gx in term of damage. Does it make me stop as Agi Rk? Nope! It still fun whacking  . Just know your capability, limitation and how to use it. Rk is my first character, not to mention, ASPD build. Already tried almost all build, still love agi Rk (what option do we have other than dragon breath). Thanks to the forum members who teach me almost everything on ASPD Rk (I'm critical build btw).

If you just want to be rich in this game, agi Rk is not a nice choice. Gx serve better and more zeny friendly.

AGI GX is more of a "real" build and also way better in DPS.

GX ctrl-click is amplified LOTS by EDP. And rolling cutter is also a ASPD oriented attack, and is low damage (only slightly higher compared to ctrl-click). So that makes ctrl-click a really effective DPS method for a GX. Other technicalities include not being able to click the RC hotkey nearly as fast as ctrl-click (up to 7 attacks per second), RC also has a slightly global delay, CRIT bypasses high flee / AGI-up, improve critical damage gear, and so on.

AGI ctrl-click RK has limited benefits (if any). RKs have a lot of high damage skills, like Ignition Break, Hundred Spears, and Dragon Breath. All of these can easily beat RK ctrl-click damage without much gearing / setup at all. Some buffs like Magic Strings just blows ctrl-click DPS away. Some people use ctrl-click with CRIT to hit agi-up MVPs, but Dragon Breath never misses already. So the benefit would only really apply to AGI-up MVPs that are immune / resistant to fire (water DB incoming too).

For WoE / PVP there's the vellum katzbalger, but that is a fixed damage that doesn't even look at your STR or ATK.

Most RKs are built with AGI already anyway for Dragon Breath animation delay reduction. If anything, ctrl-click becomes more of how you gear the RK and isn't really a build per se.

What rocalc said is true. Rk can't beat their Gx damage in speedy attack. 

 

You just need overupgrade weapon and gear + rune + berserk (BAM!!!! 10k!!)

 

Berserk is like double edges sword... 5% reduction of HP every 15 second is really, really pain in the ass. Either you die or I die. You may go higher but you need to sacrifice speed. Meleeing an mvp at 10k dmg, even at 193aspd is not enough to beat a Gx, you just able to beat low lvl mvp only (with a huge cost that gonna stab you).

 

They should create a samurai class...  I will throw my rk for a samurai style.

The counter attack is just to get the crit damage bonus on crush strike. Counter Attack damage doesn't depend on the damage of the attack, Pharaoh doesn't have a 1-shot attack (unless it has a new skill I'm not aware of. Dark Blessing is what you're probably thinking of, but it doesn't deal damage, it sets your hp/sp to 1), and counter attack doesn't block skills anyway. 

 

It's a really nasty crush strike.

Probably just megs, demihuman gear, and 300% ATK proc, and some other regular buffs like striking and odin's. Can't say it's terribly reliable or useful other than for screenshot purposes.
