Actually... it seems this change has gone through server side (even though it wasn't ready! ARG). The full change to this system does indeed have a new image for the xeon.

some of it went through, but for example you cant reduce icebound stuff atm, so not really sure if and what works.

Yes it is good idea but when you try to reduce one of this items metioned in all of the cases it says failed reduced and you lose 100, 000 lant or more and when the reduce is succesfully the npc shows that you can get 50 maximus xeons or more but it only give you 5 or less, come in fix it, the lant does not come from rain, fix the % of success chance reduction and give more maximus xeons that will make gamers reduce all the time theirs things.

Reduction tool

aka mall content..... everything they do in this game in one way or another comes around to buying more mall. Used to have a chance to get a 1 day reduct tool in the 'one-day click' feature. A slight drop in selling reduct tools and they quickly removed it.

I don't actually remember that ever being removed. If it was indeed part of that system and was removed, then it was removed prior to our takeover.

While it's true our business model is generated 90% through mall content, in no way have we put mall content first over game content.

Since our takeover there has been numerous additions to the game that empowers free players than ever before.

There has been a grand total of 13 cash items added since, and most of them are alternates from one another (ex. luckybox 24, 25, 26.. ect) compared to the 600+ items we've added to the game.

During the same span we have added quests for areas of the game that lacked quests, enchantments that are obtain not through cash shop but actual in game content.

Generally speaking a lot of the cash items we added usually have a counterpart that was added in the game example:

  • Cash Mercenary (there is  only 1) and Free Mercenary (2 to choose from)
  • Xeons of the Past was a droppable in game item for a while before we started to sell them on the cash shop.
  • Anniversary Luckyboxes dropped in game while being sold in the cash shop.
  • Infinity Atmas were only droppable from Titan Ruinhorn, then we moved the drops to all raid bosses and was finally added to the cash shop.

So please stop with the tireless attempt to make it appear that the current staff only care about cash shop.

could you explain why everything is bound on aquire since you took over? and why everything has to be compounded? what happened to the good old days where ppl raided and weapons and armors that dropped from bosses were ready to use and only bound on equip? If you try to make it look like you don't care about cashshop only your not doing to well

PS: this free mercenary is free till lvl 60 wich is useless, yes we can get atma's from raid bosses now, but imagine 10 ppl doing a raid for a 5% chance of it dropping and BOUND ON AQUIRE? + has to be shared between the full party

What you say it's true, you added some new free things... but the big problem is: before your takeover the game was heavily influenced (too much) by mall and this made people leave the game (this is the fact, look at s1 population and now)... bu after your takeover.. what changed? you added more cash items (you say 13) and didn't remove anything.... so maybe other then not adding too many cash items, try to consider what could be removed (some suggestions were given in this thread: reduction tool as daily reward, remove bound items,...). Do you know that there are some online games were the cash items are only about appeareance, and still who manages it, gets money? Are you surprised?

Last thing: you show us some new stuff (e.g. atma, xeon of the past,...) and then you put in mall. Why? something like try and then buy? This only makes players more angry.

Adding new content is the right direction to increase population (= increase revenues for Gravity too), adding new cash items is wrong (= more players leaving, less revenues).

Yes, the quests were a great addition and helped a great deal of people reach 90 without grinding, good job. Also bringing back SvS was another good thing that you guys did.

The armor, accessories and enchants are not mall items themselves, but are counted as another way to make the game more imbalanced. For instance you have free player with +5 level 89 armor compared to paying player with +30 level 89 gear. Same with the enchants, you have free player with 5/8 slots filled with free enchants then you have paying player that has 8/8 enchants in all slots of his gear. So in a way the enchants did not help balance at all.

What Warpportal has to do is focus more on premium bonuses and cosmetic items while taking forge items out of the item mall completely. You have to reverse what the old developers did that ruined the game; the reinforcement amplios. SvS was a lot more crowded in S1 compared to now, and the only difference is the amount of mall items. Its not the fact that you guys added a few more items into the item mall here and there, we are disapointed that you aren't taking items out of the item mall.

take all stat boosting items out of the item mall and put in more cosmetic items to replace them. Boost premium to 200% lant, drops, battlefield points, free reduction, compound, reinforcement, enchanting. Until then people will continue to hit max level and quit.

So please stop with the tireless attempt to make it appear that the current staff only care about cash shop.

well I was gonna reply to all that.. then I read further and they pretty much covered my points.  Except the removal of the 1-day reduct tool, if ya read the forums like most Mod/CM/GM/Dev should be doing then you would have known, along with 50 thousand other things about the game that could use some attention.

I'm not even playing the game right now(cant physically due to a broken back), but the longer I remain outside the game looking in without the "addiction" part hanging over my head, the more time I've had to read/look into other games of less mall dependence.  I really love having pets, costumes, mounts etc etc as extras in games, it makes them funner for me.. what I really like more is that 90% of the other games these are purely cosmetic items and 100% permanent!  Instead of here at Requiem where after a forced break happens and log in to play and get notices spammed in my face of all my purchased items going poof!

The last and only permanent and purely cosmetic costume that Requiem released was back in s1.. 2 diff styles of xmas costumes.. that's cool n all but who wants to wear xmas stuff in springtime?Haven't played Tera in over a year, but when I log in again someday I will still have the mounts, costume, pets, etc that I purchased waiting for me to enjoy again. Same for Aion and Rift..

It's more than likely too late now anyways to fix your pay to win game In order to still make money without forcing us to mallwhore,  you need players plain and simple. Pretty much everyone still in the game that I know of  has reverted to dual and triple logging to fill the spots of the inactive players. For just about every raid I've done for awhile now I healed and 2-3 other ppl logged a few toons to play tank, dps and other key elements to make the raid smooth. Do you advertise? Not that I've ever seen, and in the world of MMO's most players join by word of mouth. I wont lie to my friends and tell them Requiem is completely free to play and that u can enjoy being a free player, and we all know that being free player in this game can be fun until you want to PVP, then its a complete joke!

Done beating this dead horse.. you wanna learn more on this subject then by all means please read the forums! they go back several years now of some really good ideas on how to 'fix' things. Also might give you some ideas on what things were added/removed from game that caused mass amounts to quit so u can avoid doing it again. Too late on the forced PK that killed the population off almost in one swoop! Nice try on the Tifri/Nova split.. it was a valiant effort truly, however that put another nail in the coffin.. then banning half of Nova for a supposed Lant exploit.. poor management there.. fix the game not kick your last remaining players.

wish ya luck.. I really do.. have always loved this game over all others and I dont even know why anymore lol

Au contraire mon ami,  please stop with the tireless excuses on your Side.

One time its the old Code that forbid to change things the Way they are, other time the Old Devs are to blame.

Why can`t you start taking responsibility ?

The Debate is NOT over 13 Cash Shop Item or 600 Drops that all located at the Carus Grade Scale.

Its about the attractive (fairness) of the Game itself.

Your just feeding off the End Game Players cuz. your only able to earn Money at the Carus Grade.

There is simple no Dime to earn from new Players - so you give free Jump Items (69 Boxes) how clever is that?

Why did you not added some Content for the first Maps ? why its Crescent only?

How Many of your 500.000 Face book Players stayed long enough to reach 70+ ?

nah.. your not gonna change not as long enough Veteran Players still Play the Blacksmith Roulette.

Its fast and easy Cash ...the Reinforcement Grade is limited...(+30) but how clever is that to make the Enchant and

Compound Circle Endless?!

ya thats the Future of ReQQ. Endless Compound and Enchant work - good Job!

and ofc. if you spent +100H into creating your last Item...who gonna risk to destroy it at the Blacksmith?! - RESPECT!

so much about not caring about the Cash Shop.

This Team have giving up on New Players or Balancing.

Prove me wrong and balance Battlefields, PB`S and while your on it...

is it really ok to be able to enchant a Carus Enchant into a Ordinary Weapon or Armor?

If you would really care about new Players or balancing...you know the Answer.
