So as the title suggests, who would wins in dps between a Crit GX, DD and DD Crit? More importantly, I wish to know by how much do they win. For all scenarios can we assume a 5b-10b budget. I'm most interested in the gap or the difference between their dps.

Depends on the target's hard DEF, flee and size.

I only know about PVM environment so cmiiw,

High DEF = DD/DD Crit
Low DEF = Katar Crit

High Flee = Katar Crit/DD Crit
Low Flee = DD/DD Crit

Large = Katar Crit
Medium = Katar Crit
Small = DD/DD Crit

I'm pretty much noob about damage mechanism so could you give a clear explanation about this? And I'm not sure why one would go with DD over DD crit...

IF no skill include it will be

critical DD if ice pick dagger + ↑↑↑aspd + (no double attack skill) + sapha set (bonus: +40% critical damage)

critical attack ignore flee rate of target.

You shouldn't wear the full sapha set as it makes you paper... Besides, there are better things you can wear if you want the +40% crit damage: fatal 3/3/4 FAW and temporal luk boots should give you more damage and more survivability.

Sapha cloth is good, but you don't really need the rest imo.

I suppose what I'm really asking is, if I choose to go with one build will I be suffering greatly compared to if I had chosen different or is the difference not that large. Eg. Crit vs dd vs their respective optimal targets how large is the damage between them?

Spike already highlighted the strengths of each build. There isn't a "best" build, they have their own pros and cons.

As for damage difference...

It really depends very much on the target |||OTL

Personally, I prefer DD because double attack increases damage a good deal. Being able to ignore defense is a great help...

Also, it's hard to compare them according to your example, because each build requires vastly different sets of gear.

Isn't it also as easy to stack up crit damage and also wear Ice Pick? Being a crit also give you advantage on both high and low flee enemy.

Being a crit build also means you're open to katar (and actually easier since you won't have to worry about Abrasive) so really, I can't see why one should go for DA DD. Tell me please >_<

The main problem DA DD builds encounter is the MvP Agi Up.

But I suppose that if you can find a way to hit the mob even when it uses Agi, it should be... fine?  IMO, still not better than crit builds, tho.

The problem is when you go DD crit, your left hand attack isn't going to hit most of the time, and double attack well... makes half your attacks hit twice.

In the case of katar crit, my issue would be monster defense, since most mvps have a high amount of it.

You'd need a lot of boosts to beat that, and unlike katar I can use an ice pick to pierce defense while still having at least 2 card slots open for AK cards.

The mvp agi up thing is indeed an issue, which would be the downside of DA DD, but the firepower is good.

Omg, I see. I think that's why when I went cheap crit with my DD (FS Ice Pick + Sharp Kitchen Knife + Morrigane Set + Abrasive) I saw less hits than usual but it sure took down Myteltainn/Blue Acidus pretty fast...

I think I got the whole grasp of this. And I think it's possible to make a hybrid of three...
