So EDP works off of equipment attack alone right?
No. EDP works on both "equipment" attack and "weapon" attack. EDP does not work on "Status" attack.
Attack is split into three categories.
"Status" Attack = attack based off stats(str, dex, luk), EDP does not effect this.
"Weapon" Attack = attack based off your main hand weapon, includes refine bonus, EDP multiplies this by 5.
(ie, if you have an ice pick on your main hand, your weapon attack is 80 or if your using a katar your weapon attack is 148, etc)
"Equipment" Attack = attack based off gear, EDP multiplies this by 4.
(ie, cards(hydra, skel worker, andre, etc), enchants(fighting spirit, atk%, etc), gear(bsb, rofl, bako, etc))
So would it be better to get FIghting Spirit or ATK +% for the mora enchants?
Normally fighting spirit is better. ATK% is only better if you have very high weapon+equip attack already.
I'm trying to figure out the ATK formula, but I don't really get what happens. I'm guessing if the equipment gives +30 ATK, that is straight into the equipment attack category. But +% would alter all four ATK categories? How do I calculate my equipment attack from the status window ATK?
Lets compare the highest mora attack enchants
(ATK 3%) and (Fighting Spirit 6)
(Fighting Spirit 6) = 21 attack (equip type)
(ATK 3%) = attack depends on your total weapon and equip attack, does not work on status attack
so lets say you are using a wild beast claw = 160 attack (weapon type)
and are also using a bloodied shackle ball = 50 attack (equip type)
(ATK 3%) = (160 + 50) x (0.03) = 6.3 attack, rounded down = 6 attack (equip type)
As you can see in this example 21 attack(Fighting Spirit 6) is alot higher than 6 attack(ATK 3%).
You would need more than a combine total of 700 attack (weapon + equip) to make (ATK 3%) better than (Fighting Spirit 6)
edit: i type tooo sloooooow, everything the guys posted above me, +1
